Ok, i know its repetitive, but me and some friends just started to play. I wish i had found Uthgard a few years ago. Anyway, we're 2 of these peoples who can't decide wich viking's class we should choose.

The problem is we lack info on the present status of those 3: Warrior, berserker, savage.
We lack also info of the incoming patches.

I heard rumors like berserk is going to loose the "charge" RA. I don't even know if the warriors have climbing spikes, or extra hp...
Savage h2h is considered 1h?... So you see i really need more info on these 3 classes..

I'm an old daoc player who have lost touch with this game for too long. Could you help us guys?

Skill, styles, Ra... Maybe i didn't saw the correc link for these infos..

Basically warriors are okay and needed both now and with old ras. Savages suck against shieldchars due to too high blockrate and deffense penetration bug. When it gets fixed (hopefully soon, but u never know) then they'll be awesome again. Berserkers r the best dps atm, when old ras come they will lose charge as we know it, but they will still be good dps. Skalds atm are awesome, but with old ras they're gonna suck cuz of 30min purge timer. Thanes r awesome as solochars but not for grouprvr.

whatever you do, DO NOT roll a thane. also, if you're going to trio, someone might play a shaman

zerk, war, or skald are the best viking choices for sure. none of these classes have any drawbacks. skalds lose some key RAs in OF setup but speed 6 is still quite desirable. one of the best midgard duos is skald and shaman.

war and zerk pretty much simple spec get det 4 or 5 and anything else is just a bonus. pretty much wanna pick a couple things and stack them up high. right now i play my skald with aotg2 ip2 purge2 sos1 and a couple misc passive, it works pretty good. skill spec for all 3 is pretty obvious, they really dont have much choices. zerk is good with hammer and LA, skald is good with hammer and BS, and war is good with hammer and shield. all 3 will also have room for a good amount of parry as well.

some simple skills specs would be like

zerk: 50 hammer 50 LA 28 parry
war: 44 hammer 50 shield 37 parry (can auto train hammer til 48 and fit 39 parry i think)
skald: 39 hammer 50 BS 18 parry (this spec comes out really nice with no wasted points)
