I have a level 20 Shadowblade and I have trained into stealth from the start. I was curious and did not need my respec at 20 so I respeced my stealth skill. After doing this it showed that my stealth skill without training was lvl 5... the exact level it would be if I had autotrained it.

Is it auto training despite my training points into stealth??

Anyone mind explaining how this may have happened??? It appears that I am getting autotrain points despite having trained into stealth from the begining....

I verified this with a friend when he hit 20. He had the same result with his SB...

Autotraining classes will always have their autotraining skills stuck at the min. level determined by autotraining.

This means that a shadowblade at level 50 will have 12 stealth no matter how many respecs he uses

Same goes for warriors who will have 12 sword 12 hammer 12 axe no matter what

This is because autotraining was meant as a way to keep essential skills at a minimum level.

I hope this clarifies why you still have your "autotrain" skills after a respec. This doesn't mean however that you have been autotraining. Just that the system locks up skill points in stealth to ensure you have a minimum amount of stealth skill.

So to get the full benefit from autotrain do I have to not train in stealth at all or does it not matter if I train in stealth...

Or respec every 4th level (before doing 7->8, 11->12, 15->16, etc)
