:D

Curious because haven't found much on the market. Cloudburst seems nice for nerfing opponents defenses. Also, Dragonstorm is way over priced.

grp rvr cloudburst and fastest crafted 1h hammer. Also a small and a large shield, or for the lazy warriors one of the fast large shields that drop in spindel or by wretch of winter.

Ya I swap shields. I was wondering though, does the size of the shield affect guard when several opponents are attacking? in PvP?

Also, what is your take on swing speed? is a 5.1speed MP 2h Hammer worth buying? Or should I save and wait for a slower 5.5 MP?

Thanks in advanced.

you block way more against up to 3 attackers with a large shield, but the same against one attacker. Slam speed is horrible with a large shield. Switching shields fast while running/guarding/slamming is something that needs foresight and makes playing warrior challenging.

I would go for 5.5 mp hammer with dd proc, i had that for a long time. And only the dex/qui debuff proc on cloudburst makes it a litte bit better. But a 5.5 crafted mp hammer is good as well, and better than dragonstorm in grp rvr.

But he asked if shield size effect blocking rate while *guarding* some other people.

Practically i didnt saw any difference between guarding someone with a small or a large shield (with multiple attackers)

i have no proof, but it worked the same for guarded targets on live and i think it does here also. I got so used to switch to a large shield when guarding a target with more than one slam immune attacker, i would have to train to stop switching shields ^^

i think you block more for a guarded target, but just my opinion. No tests made.

I wonder if GM's would condone such a test or if they would deem it crossrealming/rpfarming?

we once did a quite similar test for some other bug concerning blocking (with 2 hibs and 4 mids involved), needed to ask 2 gms, wait 2 hours, but then we got the OK. Since we did not make 1 rp (one shell shaman and one healer so no one died) and did not interfere with normal rvr (went to a very unpopular spot at nighttime) it was tolerated.

The bug did not exist, but at least we could check that. So ask nicely, have patience, and make sure you don't break any rules and it should be possible to test. Most important is to ask and get an OK before you test such things
