Hi everyone,
I recently hit lvl 40 with my Berserker and now got the chance to respec my weaponline. Atm I'm axe specced. I know that hammer is supposed to be the better line cuz of the backstyle snare but for some reason I dislike the looks of hammer and would prefer to go with sword or axe because of the resist tables. (most zerks are specced hammer anyways so i guess there will always be one zerker in grp who can play the snare guy of the AT). I know that axe is better for crafted weapons cuz of 4.2 speed for crafted weapons, but if I plan on getting a dropped mainhand, which spec gives me better possibilities? (are there more axe or more good sword drops? and are axes or swords more demanded?) for offhand weapon i would get myself a crafted 4.0 cleaver and a 3.smth axe in order to switch when cele is up/down.
Any input is appreciated

Thx and see you in game! :)

I would suggest you to skill hammer just for the backsnare (think that's 29) , and then take axe/sword , it doesn't matter that much since both is slash dmg based.
edit : you can get a temple axe which is pretty cheap to get these days.

Got Axe on my Zerk, the sidesnare is nice to have and beside the fronstyle the only style out of LA i use. Not sure about the Sword styles but think its not THAT big difference, so for me its a question of looking and liking

I have decided to stay Axe because i like it the most. Thx for the hint of the Temple Axe I didn't even know it existed, i guess its 4.2 speed, right? How much does one usually cost? And what proc has it got? This is my only char in Mid so I don't have much cash. I'll go with a 99% temp and will try to get that temple axe =).

It is not as costly as you might think.

Therefore you really should aim for a MP armour suit (maybe with taj2 torso, and dragon sleeves, for easy +all melee skills), and go dual-specced.

I guess the most common start-dual-spec is 39 slash, 39 crush, 50 LA, rest parry (in all honesty, forget Wyrd, this is uthgard!! ).

There really is no reason to get a dropped weapon as a Berserker, if you don't plan to only solo that is.

For that reason you should consider crafted weapons: 4.2 spd axe, 4.1 spd hammer, 2.9 spd left axe [or 2.6 spd legendary left axe, if you can afford it] (clever doesnt make much sense, for RvR anyway, you have cele up 2% of the time...).

NB. Crafted swords are 4.0 spd, dropped are upto 4.2, but they are harder to fit into a dual-spec-template, unless you plan to make it weaponless (and that will start to get costly).

I'm dual spec on my Berserker and I use crafted 4.2 Axe and 4.1 Hammer for mainhand with Glacial Shard as offhand but I assume crafted can work just as well. :)

Thanks a lot for your input! I'm more of a casual player so I'll start with a 99% temp and will try to get a better one once i got some RR and more cash. I still got a question. Is 2.9 not too fast for a left axe? I thought with dex/qui and aug haste buff a 3.4 would be good and a 4.0 cleaver with celerity. would have never taken a weapon with less than 3.0 speed. Am I missing smth? Thanks again!

With a Trollbersi (bonus points for creating the Chars: +10 Const / +10 Dex / +10 speed) is particularly well suited in PVE. Hammer on geskillt and equipped with a good 2-handed hammer, the Bersi can very well be playing solo. Problems with the Enduring are rare because the hammer is the weapon with the styles that need it the most common but little stamina make high claims. The relatively slow impact velocity should be increased as appropriate items of course. Due to the high Evade and Parry-value itself gets the troll from very little, but shares a lot of damage. Even several Adds are often a major problem.

Berserker but hardly uses it because it would bring order to extend the benefit of even very high defense combined with the high damage (except in connection with the Taunt aggro from the healer to get away).

The spec is certainly PvM-heavy, but also in non-RvR unfit. The high defense makes itself felt there, particularly in the fight 1 on 1 against other melee. Caster against the 2H-Bersi in relation to the spec on the left of the ax is rarer because of the interruption of magic, however, a disadvantage.

---> Parry skillen should be a maximum of 39 because they reached the locker with +11 parry cap. +11 Armor you can put it on droughts, or reach only a minimum of equipment + RR.
