Can someone help a girl out here? Yes, I am too lazy to scroll back and look, but what are the best RA's for a Thane? And why?

Reroll Warri. If you wanna play Deftank, Warri is the way to go.

If you should insist on taking Thane:

DET5, Moblock3, LW1,Aug Dex shouldn´t hurt.After that i suppose you can go Damage.

If your set group doesn't have a MOS bot, I like Wrath of Champions in certain situations for breaking stealthers.

So that after the root wears off, you stand in Mezz forever? Sounds like a great plan for a Defbot! Beeing able to guard properly every 5 minutes surely is enough (even though, having both Purge and DET is great)

I have played with plenty of Mid Grps, and a mezzed Guardbot IS a Problem, and a huge one at that.Even a Mezzed Warri (and thats 11 seconds) can mean a dead Healer/Caster.if its a Thane without DET, its worse. But Adianne will find that out eventually.

if your group cant handle mezzes than you are in the wrong group..... det5 on thane is kinda senseless because you dont have stoic and so you stand in cc very long even with det so purge is way more useful.. you have to think about when to use purge dont purge stuns or mezzes except it is really nessesary

It really depends on the Setup you run and on the Situation. Even with 2 healers, demezzing can be difficult, especially if one of the healers is the target of the AT (which in Tankgrps doesn´t happen to seldom). And as i said, Thane is way inferior to a Warrior. Still, you want CC to last as short as possible on your Deftank, and even Purge3 has a reuse timer that will make you unable to react to certain situations. Thats when 55% CC Reduction comes in and lessens the time you stand around doing nothing.

For grp play you need det 5 and thats enough, but the uthgard players have such a narrow view and repeat everything they heard somewhere in irc that everyone will talk you out of a thane as def tank.
Somehow Albs manage to have a pala as a guarder, I wonder why they are running at all since no one can compete with a hybrid det tank!

Don't see how the 2 are mutually exclusive with Purge 1 at only 5 points with the same CD as Purge 2. A cheap RA for emergencies when DET5 just isn't enough. Wouldn't WoC be a good tool for some spike damage?
