I am looking at Runemaster/Zerker/savage or possibly sm but they don't seem to be popular for rvr groups. I used to main a druid and zerker back on live. I know were only at patch 1.65 if I remember correctly savage was in a good place and zerker had a small nerf around 1.63 ? Out of the classes I listed what seems to be the most needed if any ?

Think you can get away with any of em tbh. For pve they are all needed, for pvp 8man IMO it's Zerker>Savage>Runemaster, but they all fit into 8man setups if played well. The SM is mainly a solo pve char.

The difference between zerker and savage is, that 'Left Axe'-attacks (zerker) are counted as a 'dual wield'-attack, whereas Hand-to-hand is counted as a 'single weapon'-attack. That means that there is double the chance of blocking the Savage in RvR than there is the zerker, in situations where whatever squishy you are attacking is being guarded by a shield-bot. Savages do have higher spike damage tho, so if groups already have a zerker or two in the train, then I'd say that a Savage fits perfectly. But a train of zerkers > a train of savages.

I lvl'ed a zerker first and have had very little issues with keeping items ajour, but a lot of people seem to have. In this regard, the Runie is a smart first-choice, because it rly only needs a staff with focus lvl to have almost max efficiency in groups. If you spec Suppression after lvl 20, you'll find groups in no time once you get pbt aswell.

In other words: if your choice is between zerker, savage and runemaster, I don't think you can go wrong ;)

Dark SM is the only viable RvR spec, and it requires a pretty strong understanding of your class to be effective with. Zerker, Savage, and RM are all fine choices, but I suggest a warrior/zerker first because they're easier to find gear for, and because warriors are much more viable solo than any of the listed classes.
