Hi,

I've solo'd a Skald on live for a little while and I am aware that items especially artifacts add a great deal of the effectiveness in fights. Whilst obvisously there are no artifacts @1.65, I am curious as to what items or item effects are considered effective on Uthgard.

Currently I have a haste (Cloak of the Vicious), ablative (Bracer of Shattering) and health regen (Gilded something belt) charges in my template.

Do I need a str/con charge? If so, what item is considered best for providing it? Can alc potions cover for it?

What are considered to be the best tinctures?

Are there any truely outstanding items I should aim for?

Many thansk

You can buy a Jewel of the Deceiver for roughly 800g-1p and it has a 75 str/con charge on it. The cheapest D/Q charge I got was 4.5p on a Ring of the Butcher, which I've currently given to a guildmate. Best reactive tincture is ablatives, best tincture overall is preference, but most people elect to use Spirit weapon effects since not as many people elect to cap it. Alc potions will give you +30 in spec buffs, which means charges are worth +45 MORE points. Very helpful if you're a soloer. You can also run basic buff pots (str, dex, con) and those give an additional +20 per stat. Beyond that, there isn't a whole lot you can really do (you can pick up Endu pots/insta heal potions, look into putting the chain sleeves from SH into your template due to the heal proc), but always running around buffed gives you a nice advantage.

Thanks for the info.

The jewel and ring are for sb's, do you know of any generic/skald items with the charges? I've seen the Frozen Tundra Walker's Mantle has a str/con charge, but that would be at the cost of dropping Cloak of the Vicious which I woud like for the haste charge.

Or are there any restrictions on how long I need an item equiped before using it @1.65?

Swap jewel, use charge, swap back. You don't need the stats, just the charge.

Speaking of the Cloak of the vicious, do you know if it has a special skin? I've made my template with the Cloak of icy vigor already and I am not going to change it given the state of my wallet, but the cloak has the default plain skin and I can feel my sexiness is not peaking as it should. A cloak with a slightly more elaborated skin like the DF one (not something too fancy) would definitely suit my incredible Kobold charisma.
