Are you new to the game? Are you interested in Crafting? Do you use Crafters' services (when you can find them?) Do you stuggle with finding groups, either for PvE or for RvR? Do you lust for more gold? Did you answer 'yes' to any of the above? Consider joining the Company! The Merchant Adventurers Company of Jordheim is open for business with all patriots of Midgard. License was received from the Jarl to begin production and sale, beginning mid-April, of weapons, armor, and all manner of outfittings for armies of Midgard to carry into battle against our enemies. Product orders are now being taken. Do a "/who merch" in-game and contact any available member of the Company to place your order. Applications for membership with the Company are also being taken. Join the network, do your part, and find your seat at the great table in Valhalla! Do a "/who merch" in-game and contact any available member of the Company. Express your desire to join; you will be extended an invitation. All members are able to invite others. Tradeskill is NOT a requirement to join the Company. Anyone who wishes to contribute to the success of Midgard under the Company's banner is welcome. The Company has reserved ranks for crafters who reach Legendary status in their craft. There is also a reserved rank for non-crafters who offer their services strictly on the field of battle--the Huscarl. There is NO Company tax on income. This is to alleviate financial burden on fledgling Company members, allowing them to instead invest in their own skills. Funding is being gathered voluntarily for the Company guildhouse, which will naturally include various implements and supply for crafting. A couple great alliances have expressed interest in the Company but are full at this time. The Company seeks an alliance with a broad customer base eager to strap up, level up, and color up! Plans are being considered for eventual expansion. Establishing Company emporiums in friendly harbors of Albion and Hybernia would provide numerous income streams, including inter-national currency exchange. Merchants interested in this opportunity (willing to reside in Tir Na Nog and Camelot) should contact the Company for more information. Company crest~ Symbol - knarr, a type of Norse merchant ship used by the Vikings Background - colored gold, to represent wealth Blue chevron - symbolic of the sea (trade) About the gm~ I bought into DAOC at launch; played mostly Midgard, on Nimue. Co-founded the guild Vardr ok Lidskjalv, then ran it until I left the game in 2007. My main was rr9 Hunter, and when Bow was changed to be just another DD I was so disgusted I walked away. Now on Uthgard 2, I am exploring the crafting side of the game more. A lot was purchased in the village of Happtoft, which is directly south across the river from the Kaupang market. Being so close to the largest and most famous of the Norse trading centers will undoubtedly be a boon to business. However many of those have not been online for a while. Maybe the recent changes to Uthgard will bring some back, and hopefully some new recruits too. We would like to join a realm-oriented alliance that could put our skills to use.
