You need more than 8 people, better more than 10, for example:
3+ Healers
1 Shammy
1 Warrior or Savage or both (Savage taunting, Warri guarding Savage) as Maintank
Rest can be anything else that deals damage, to kill the adds

- make sure that all members have water breathing potion in inventory, maybe needed if someone dies and gets rezzed
- before attacking megalodon, kill all the adds around him
- protectchain: maintank>other tank that attacks megalod>caster/healer
- start DI before attacking megalodon
- only the maintank attacks megalodon for the first 5% dmg, then the others can attack (if their job is not killing adds)
- dont start healing the maintank before di is empty because of healaggro (not sure if buggy on uthgard)
- maintank only uses taunt style to not lose the aggro and healers only need to heal him
- maintank should have AF Charge to reduce dmg
- if maintank is a savage, he should use only slash resi, dmg, haste, evade selfbuffs
- when attacking megalodon, the remaining and the spawning sharks will attack your supporters, so you need some people there to kill these adds
- megalodon has an AE Stun, so healers should try to stay out of that stun range but still in heal range (not really sure if possible??)
- shammy needs to stay near the maintank for endureg

You really need 3 or 4 people only to kill the adds (sharks) that spawn during the fight. If you have enough healers and a good equipped maintank it should work then.
Good luck.

Actually you need 6+ to kill Megalodon, even though with 6 its a pain in the ass,and those have to know exactly what they do and the Maintank MUST HAVE a SC.Also Tank should have Det4 and you should be able to provide some DIs and Ichors (2 Shams 2 Healers 1 Skald 1 Warri is fine). The Ichors are used to be able to reg infight (those 20-60 Seconds might be enough to reg about 10-50% Mana for each healer, thats really alot and also you reduce the effektiv time between Potusing cause you won´t have to heal in this time)
Start off by killing all adds around the Lair, this might take some time but makes the actual encouter way easier, and you should be sure to not oversee to many little Sharks.
I would personally prefere a Warri as Tank. Why Warrior? He has Chainarmor,he blocks/parrys really alot, and he won´t loose 20% HP without even beeing hit like the Savage (selfbuffs ^^).Also he should have slightly more Hitpoints, even though that doesn´t matter to much.
Rest is pretty much like Rector described it,but you can avoid getting stunned as healer by having 2k Range (max healrange) and beeing not directly behind the tank but on the sides of it.

If you haven´t done any hard Mobs on Uth before, try to bring more Healpower to kill the mob.A good 8 man grp, especially when you can´t bring up high RR to compensate for mistakes, would be 4 Healers 2 Shams Skald Warri.

Edit:
I forgot,if you want to do it with less then 12 ppl,you gotta have 5+ manapots on every Supporter, and those must be used the moment you drop below 70% Mana for the first time.
