Goodday to you all, I'm planning on starting on this server, most likely on Hibernia because it's an old habit, but i have some questions ofcourse.

As I am mainly interested in 8v8, how is 8v8 here ? Is there enough action or would i be better of returning to i50 servers ? Are there pugs going out regularly ?

It has been pretty long since I last played on a server where you have to make your own template (yes i used to play easymode i50 :(), but I can say I have the necessary rvr experience on mages/support/tanks,just anything but bard/stealthers.

So my 2nd question to you all is: What class would be able to get into a group on this server ? I know what classes are preferred but I do not know which classes Hibernia lacks at the moment. I fancy mages a little bit more than tanks/support but it does not really matter. I guess my biggest concern will be adapting to classic rvr with NF RA's, which i find abit silly but ok :p and making myself a template, but I guess I will figure it out when i get lvl50.

Any additional info is appreciated.

Thanks in advance and see you in game:]

I dont run in grps that often or at all, since i preffer my ranger. But of what i see there is plenty of 8vs8 or close to that during peak hours, but during night hours there is fewer FG out , mostly 5 man grps , well one in each realm with a scater of smaller grps/solos. But because we are on OF, we have to run to emain, which takes 7min with realm speed and sprint, but the enemys have to wait on a 8min port timer.

For best class to play for grps would be most classes exept stealthers, and ive notice some grps lack casters on hib, sometimes. Some also claim wardens have a harder time getting into grps also, not sure if that is true. But just play what ever class you referr, and if its not a stealther, there is a good chance youl find a grp.

As a druid, you should be able to xp quite well... keep reg a bit higher than nurt while getting level, to have a higher chance to be taken for focuspulls and you should hit lvl 50 within a week.
Dont forget to run in battlegrounds.

As for casters.. ench and ment have the easiest way to xp, and the first ones are quite welcome in groups but the later is rarely seen in 8vs8, even though its a strong class if played correctly.

For soloaction, well roughly 50% of hibernia tends to run a ranger and play add/leech/stealthzerg at amg to get rps.

Not really, i dont see that many ranger / ns grps. But i did see a 4 man alb stealther grp yesterday, and a 3 man SB grp later in the day. And there is as many NS as there is Rangers, just more rangers at lower lvls, but they flatten out at 50.

But anyway play what ever youd like to play, just keep in mind if you do ever want to solo, as a visable in OF, it will be hard because of the long and boring run to emain, just to get picked off by a grp or assasins. But still is possible and no reason to choose a stealther because of that.

If you want tanksetup i'd suggest another BM for the Champ slot. Charge is the most overpowered RA on Uthgard Setting as there is no counter on it.

But even if tanksetup is a viable setup for hib you wont have a chance against equally well playing mid grps. You have no single point of advantage as they have same RAs as you but do more damage, heal better, rupt more and have less issues with endurance.
Thats why id suggest hybrid or castersetup. You at least had the chance of using your advantages then ;)

Hib tanks lack haste, so yeah it kinda sucks to be a hib tank.

Champ debuffs are matched/outdone by eld debuffs.

Charge, charge, charge. If a hib tank doesn't have that its pretty worthless.

hib tanks lack of damage
so they sucks anyway if u compare to a merc/zerker/savage

2 bm = 1 zerk .. so u waste 2 slots thats hib
