Why are there so many of them on Urthgard? Is there something different than live that makes them worthwhile?
|
|
no
its either people don't care about the stats for whatever reason : bg char/just dont care/whatever ![]() or it's uthgard and not everyone knows the basics about daoc ![]() either way, if you're looking for the best out of your char at 50, go celt |
|
if youre seeing them in TNN they might just be crafters.
|
|
grendel is the most time of ingametime in tnn at the forge, so thats the reason why there are so many :p
and yea, they are all crafters as ive dont saw any out at rvr / bg yet. |

Ah, was wondering because every group I've been in but one that has a bard, it's a Firby.

On the USA server, i seen a few we had a good Raid leader named Binder and he was a Fby just becuase he would wear a big pink Hat so every one can Stick/find him quick ^^
here i think they just like to be ugly QQ |

Can't say I've seen any firby bards in emain so I guess it's just BG madness.

No one ever expects bards to be firbies! They don't get the assist train till the fight is almost over!

grendelrex =/= grendle in game afaik

No, that's not me. I have not been able to use Grendel in a game since the early 90's, it's always taken thanks to some stupid comic book around then and movies later. I've been using Grendel as an alias in games since the late 70's and I won't use any other spelling of it. |

Maybe i should remake my lvl 46 celtbard into a firb? Not like im gonna play hib anytime soon anyway

bigger target and easier to select on inc (being ST insta stunned by a healer so they can blanket your group isn't fun), need AD3 to match a celt in dex so you're basically a full realm level lower.
they do have that novelty factor though. and they make good crafters. |

y, i know.. speed to run from npc to npc or just a quick detour magmel for barrels, and the str-buff in combination with increased str and lifter ftw^^
