So i was told enchanter pets can't be buffed, is this true? Also do enchantment line buffs work?

Think all the buffs raise the pets absorb, as in they can take more dmg, so it's better to buff them even if you're not getting desired result.

Can anyone second this? What about enchantment line, does the spec buff actually work? This is important, why isnt it more widely known?

Some buffs do work but the effect is low or not really noticable.

Why would you nerf enchantment line for enchanters? I do notice str/con buff does not increase the HP of my pet. Why waste point into that line?

That's the same for all buff on all mob/pet.
By the way, Str/Con buff should increase damage and absorb of your pet, not HP.

Do test in live, report a bug, and Blue will correct this ! I hope.

No tests needed.

This is not a nerf its an open bug like any other. Debuffs and buffs don't affect mobs in the correct way as its not corrected yet.

No, a lot related to mob mechanics are still unclear. However the tests are very big and it's hard to distribute the tests needed to be done as each person does test in his own way even when defining a standard on how to do tests.

Sorta off topic question but...

What are the odds of implementing pet /commands? On US live you could have the pet equip a shield, change damage type, make them use taunt styles, and change them from elf to luri and vice versa. Although Im not sure if they fell before or after your desired patch date.

Must have been A LOT later. A long and exhausting search using the search words "pet", "commands" and "daoc" in google revealed that it was in 1.87 :D
“DAOC is not about what you can log. It's about what you can play :> ”

Misunderstanding. I have collected enough information to at least have a picture of what the original formula is. But that doesn't mean it will be fixed right now. It will be fixed when mob damage is fixed as it works together.

Together because of gameplay reason ? Or because it's the same code ?
Mob damage bug has an effect for everyone while pet buff have a negative impact only for 1 line of pet classes.
