Hi guys! I played DAoC when it came out and quit shortly after the frontiers were changed. I originally had a 50 Friar on Guinevere, and moved with my guild to have a 50 Shaman on Igraine. I've never really had a character above the 20s in Hibernia and I would like to make it my new home here.

1. Choosing a class. I love to heal, and my intention is for RvR healing more than anything. Which healing class do you think is the most needed?

2. Are there any RvR-centric guilds that are active on a US East coast evening schedule(5-8pm est)? I know I will not last long if I try to solo a lot. I need a good crew that I can level up with and join in regular BGs and RvR.

3. Is there anything strikingly different about this server than the originals?

if you want to be a healer you have to pick up the druid class. It´s focus is on healing and buffing and buffshear/root in rvr
Specc should be at least 40 nurt rest in healing and buffing, I dont have the common speccs in mind now but you shall find it out when searching this forum or ask ingame ,-). If you like to rupt, mezz and lead a group bard is always needed too, especially in the battlegates and big RvR but it `s not so easy to play and the focus is not at healing as long you dont play in small groups.

Level up in a guild grp or pug is hard these days because uthgard has not much players these days (sorry to say that) and most of them play their big toons so leveling could be a bit annoying and druid is not a good class to solo. So maybe make a second toon for soloing when you dont find any ppl to grp with.

I dont know many guilds that play in the us timezone because I ´m European, so I suggest you look what ppl are online with the /who command and use the /lfg channel to find xp grps. I know the covenant has many nice us players but I don ´t know if they look for new players but you could ask them for example.

Big difference between live and uthgard is the attempt that uthgard is a classic server with custom changes, for example you have new RA ´s here and horses/housing but missing most of the add ons. There is a awesome special inctance called tajendi that is only available here designed by the staff members.
You have the 3 old rvr dungeons like marfach here and Shrouded isles is in progress but will probably released beginning next year but there is no fix date yet.

Ah yes and never...never ever login 2 Acc. at time or try to cheat with tools etc. otherwise you get punished by the gamemasters. ,-).

Yes most of oir guild is US players but by no stretch of the imagination are we a RVR heavy guild. And honestly there really aren't ANY rvr US guilds that play US times. Least not that I've seen. I play anywhere between 5pm-12am pst and its usually pug.

Back on topic, druid. Agree that sometimes bards cant get groups, and current population it can be worse. Surprisingly a full nature spec drukpid levels VERY easy. I did nature on my druid 1-40. If you get a group you can still heal, just put up with the the groans from people who can't seem to function w/o specs.
