So I played on Alb before here, but am interested in playing Hib now. I've always wanted to but it seemed like they had the most people and all of the relics usually and I like to be the underdog. Is Hib overpopulated now? in BGs and 50 rvr?

Also, are there any rvr guilds that could use another player? I know I'm just starting but I'm really experienced and have a lot of free time. Thinking of playing a Bard or Druid but it would really suck to solo all the time. Thanks for any input. Also note I live on east coast USA.

(Nature-)Druid is very easy and fun to level solo.
You may respec to a more Group friendly Skillset at 20 or 40. If you choose to respec at 40 be warned that soloing gets a bit slower after Braemar (~ Level 35 and following).

For an active Guild you might want to check out the "Hug Family":
http://uthgard.net/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=26832
There are quite a lot of Players in that Guild and Alliance during US Prime time.

Regarding "Over-/Underpopulated" and such: all Realms have good and bad times so you should simply play where and what you like

For future reference, if you want to compare realms on a player and realm point basis, check out the herald. More specifically, this page. I agree to kazam on one thing - you should play whatever realm you feel like. Since we have a population that can crossrealm without limitations, "underdog" realms tend to get balanced out fairly quickly.

also note for nature druid that the pet does almost no dmg on uthgard :(
if you like the role of bard/druid you maybe consider a warden, its fairly easy in solo lvling and is a grp friendly char aswell

mentalist on mana is a supporter in hib too and later for rvr specced light is a dd

I am also considering a Warden but I figured they might be pretty bad and ungrouped until you solo your way to RR4 and get TWF3. I would be content being able to just buff, pbt, and afk in pve though. :P

Without the BM styles and really bad Regrowth spec, it seems really one-dimensional.

My concern about Hib is that I know the GMs play Hib and nothing really ever gets changed unless it affects melee Rangers.

you know the admin is called Blue = midgard
and the server Uthgard => utgard = midgard

and for everything else myth: the gms don't play the game at all :P

warden dmg is quite ok if you specc into it a bit
would specc blunt than as many mobs seem to be weak to crush resi
and respec with 40 (full) on blades for later side snare

or if you stick to blades -> 21 block stun 5s
is quite nice for solo aswell even if wardens tend to block not thaaat many with parry and also pbt
wardens have attack unending its quite nice for style spamm

Well I want to get groups in pve and rvr. Do lots of people play Wardens? I would hate to just get replies of "we already have 2 wardens."

I'd also be interested in a Hero but they are probably REALLY impossible to solo with due to downtime and needing a great weapon.

Maybe I'll just make a Bard and if I can't get groups after a while I'll just give up.

Is this still accurate? http://charbuilder.nixianplay.com/

I don't know if there have been any changes in the last 6 months or so.

As far as I know, Nixian's char planner is still accurate. At least the style values that have changed on live reflect ours on Uthgard.

You go alb, gm play hib, you go hib, gm play mid, you go mid, gm play alb
2012:<@[Uth]Abydos> If we don't have SI by the end of the year, Im fairly certain I wont be a GM anymore :-p
