Apologies for my ignorance and I have searched the forums trying to answer this myself.

Basically, I used to play on live and am now playing on uthgard (big fan)

my chanter has now hit 40 and starting to look to template it, found a pretty decent one - which included the Tajendi Cloak.

I'm trying to find out a bit more about Tajendi - min lvl, how many people do you need to do (it?) - do you have to quest or just kill a boss to get the cloak - what is the drop rate, how hard is it to kill this mob etc etc.

Any help would be great or a link (that I couldnt find) to a post explaining this already!

that is the link to our wiki about the taj caster cloak (the melee cloak can be chosen instead of caster one)
there is a link to a walk through on how to get the cloak.

wait until u are lvl 42 to go tajendi, at this lvl u can do at same time the xp quest that give around 5 bubs
