47m 43n 16r
+ best ae instant mezz (duration, radius)
+ best cast ae mezz
- power cost of cast ae mezz
- cant really heal anything

37m 43n 33r
+ lower power cost on cast ae mezz
+ better heals
- worse instant ae mezz
- worse cast ae mezz (duration, spell level)
- worse resist songs
- worse confusion spell (!!!)

spec #2 has more cons, but the cons arent overly important:
- single mezz is more frequently used for mezzing than ae mezz which is more used for rupting.
- resist songs arent very important in fg because often there will also be a warden in group

which one of the two specs u go for doesnt really matter. i personally like the 2nd spec more. but more important is ur RA spec.
Do thid till 4l2, then you ve to become 4l5 somehow and then you go as follows (from left to right as ur RR gets higher):

purge3 lw1 sos1 moc1 mcl1 sere2
then you respec to
purge3 lw1 sos2 moc1 mcl1 sere2 dex3
then you respec to
purge3 lw1 sos2 moc1 mcl1 AM2 sere2 dex3
or you go for moc3
purge3 lw1 sos2 mcl1 Moc3 sere2 dex3

Agree'd.

When I tried the second spec, with MoF1, it was crazy the number of resists... really... that's why I took the first one again, waiting to up RR to think about it (or not, let's see).
Because even if many HRR players are claiming that the 2nd spec is better, most of them up RR with the first one :D

Also the 2nd spec is more "technique" and playing with people you use to play with helps a lot! Another reason I changed the 2nd spec to the first one, when the people I used to play with began to stop playing, one after the other... This spec in PuG 8v8 is quite tough...

Nevertheless, if you plan to do smallmen, with pug or not, the second spec is from far better ;) I began the RvR doing mainly smallmen, and having more points in regen helps a lot ;)

Good luck in your decision!
(By the way, depending of the servor situation, etc. you can... DAMN THAT ****** DOG IS PEEING AGAIN ON MY CAR!!!!... sorry... Well, you change your spec several time, as dragon raids etc can provide you easy means to change ^^)

My Spec:

43 Nurture
38 Music
27 Regrowth
15 Blades

I hear "ping" from Druid's spiking boners in their scalemail when I peel for them with using "Glowing Blade" while still maintaining the roll of a Bard !

Admittedly, that side snare style influence scales to the size of the group. With the smaller the group the more influential it becomes. In larger groups enemies usually have Root immunity thus rendering the style useless in most cases.

I suggest the earlier suggested specs for a beginner Bard though.

Does the +music skill have an influence on the resist rate of the mezzes ?

Resist rate as ''%'': 12,5 + (0,5 x (enemy lvl - spell lvl)
Formula doesn't include your spec lvl but only lvl of the spell you use. So if you are using 36 lvl spell against 50 lvl player, having 50 comp music doesn't help you. That's why you need mof2 at least for the second spec.

Like they said, no influence on mezz resist.
The +music skill will only influence dmg caused by the insta DD :D

43nurture
44music
20regrowth
12 weapon

The last aoe instamezz mezz is trash, that's why not 47 music. The purple aoe mezz at 43 is great
the lvl 44 DD + a DD charge is enough to kill an earth pet.
20 regrowth because you can't get the lvl 26 heal anywaa
-> Best spec for 8v8 imo

37m 43n 33r -> The best allround spec if you plan to run smallmen aswell
Nefcait : Bard
Gua : Enchanter
