I don't. I rather rely on skill than pure luck (stick + reactionary/anytimer backup hope for the best durr).

LT pet... no pet has procs here... I got stunned yesterday by a so called STUN PROC of a spiritmaster pet but actually it only missed me. |

Yeah that's because mob procs don't behave right on uthgard, not associated with hits at all just purely random.

Maybe it's like the windpets stun, it's not really a proc more a insta spell, they can stun you while they were running towards you. blue tested this all on live and it should be correct?! Uthgard till 2003!

Just use base str debuff as assassin combined with str/con debuff and optional desease. This completly counters base str buff and str/con charge/pot from the ranger. I used this all the time with my NS. Most assassins are just too lazy or not skilled enough to switch weapon. I had always 15 in my Inventory for backup. And I wasn't even viper specced with my NS (AugStr 3, MoCrit 4). You dont need high dex as assassin under the current situation. My NS on live was blade specced for good reason. use base str pots + str/con charge. When you hit RR5 you get a handy ability called remedy which makes you imune to debuff. For NS blade is far superior than thurst in any form because of armor resists. For Albion thrust would be better (bad bad melee rangers god slash imunity), but slash is still an option. For midgard, you have no choise anyway. The best ranger damage add does 9.3 DPS. You have to spec 46 points into path to get this. The second best got something around 7 and needs 36 points. The best damage posion does 16 DPS (Lifebane, 64 damage per 4 secs). At RR 5 you have to spec 35+15 points in poisons. With Viper 3 you can boost the dps to 32. The dmg add charges does 11 DPS is craftable and can be optional used with posion. As ranger you have to twink a ns to get posions with a uncertain situation that maybe in the next patch, poisons for non-assasins won't be useable anymore. Looks like assassins won this round ... again.
Good minst already can kill melee rangers and assassins in 1on1 when play well. Infiltrator is one of the best 1on1 class in game. With 2.5 spec points you can spec 50 CS or 50 DW whith either massive front load damage or for the best "anytimer" (yeah, it is front, I know) in game (dual shadows). IMHO with old RA playing a low or mid RR melee ranger and generally all other archers will be pain. Maybe RR6+ rangers and RR8+ hunters (or optionally RR10+ scouts) will be still very good, but need even more time to reg active abilities like Purge/IP/AP which will be key abilities to kill high RR assassins or other classes. Without custom changes e.g. like reducing camo timer to 2 mins any bow specced archer class will be screwed when patch comes. With no MoS assassins will frequently use PA against archers, which will have no PD anymore. Most of you have virtually no clue how unfair see hidden is. I do, I played an scout on live even in the time where camo wasn't even implemented, see hidden was at clipping range and assassins got IP (yeah, nice idea, isn't it?). It was so frustrating to be wtf-pwned without a chance that I'm not eager to experience this period again. ![]() ![]() |

Ya'll are coo coo if you think Old RA's just break rangers or others archers. let s see with 1, 3, 6 pts spents you pretty much hit evade cap, boom who needs PD when you evade everything.
