Hello Hibernia =) .. I'm a returning player after about 2.5 - 3 years afk. I played at release on Pendragon (yea, the test server) as a Void Eld, and played an Ani on Uthgard, and I played a Mana Meant on Genesis .. I may have dabbled with an enchanter at some point between there as well.. While I get the mechanics of the game ( to a degree ) I'm a little fuzzy on some specifics and I really have no idea what it means to play at 1.65 ...

I was thinking of making 2 casters.. One for RvR, I was thinking a Void Eld as I played one on Pendragon and recall defending a keep with him and having crazy fun doing it... For my PVE game which will be my focus I'm a little lost. I need to be able to solo farm for trinketing and ideally farm items in CF and elsewhere.. My caster RvR game will pretty much consist of Keep defence as thats what I enjoy doing =) Which class will I best accomplish my goals with?

I need to solo as my play time is limited and I may have to leave with very little notice and I don't wanna screw a group. I'm typically only going to have Weekend Mornings to play as well =(

Well, for solo guy, you can easily go void eld, for leveling aswell keep defense.
You will have significant downtime of course.
Group leveling is always faster. And for that you could roll mana eldritch (l8r respec), mana chanter or mana mentalist. All three are rvr capable, but mana chanter can go as mana speced in rvr, while eldritch/mentalist are prefered light so you will need to get respec stones or respec on 40 then try to ding 50 . But as you said, if you are into keep def, then void is the best option imho.

Ani's bombers cant leave the keep though with the new pathing here, they are afraid of fall damage. Maybe that needs a live test, do they jump down keep walls from ramparts on live?

Which caster class/spec is it that does a Stun and then very high damage PBAoE ?

Who are the best PBAoE's out there?

Both mana enchant and eld do what you want (stun + pbae)

For solofarming valewalker is one of the best choices.
