Tree, great event. I remember these being done in Midgard just outside the dragon's layer. 10+ fgs each with warriors, spiritmasters, and some lowbies. I think Hibernia and Albion could benefit immensely from a few of these

If this ends up working out successfully, you should put it together on the weekend. Your friends from across the pond would like to join in the fun too

I will post some screenshots tomorrow. Just a quick recap before I go to bed.

Initially some people complained when I started the battlegroup and there was still 90 minutes left before we actually moved to the spot and started. As some raid leader might know, a huge event needs preparation and during those 90 minutes the battlegroup grew to 200 people. Im sorry if at that point I wasnt able to answer all individual questions, since I basically got Sends from over 20 people at the same time. ;-)

When we actually began moving out of Innis Carthaig the server had some extreme performance issues, people were disappearing or couldnt target me, so instead of moving to spot together I broadcasted our destination and we regrouped in Bog of Cullen.

The event went on for about 6 hours and we just moved back to Innis Carthaig with the last surviving members of the expedition.

Overall I believe it was a great success. My own group consisted of 2 high lvl animists and one PBAoE caster, rest was support and 2 low lvl characters. After about 3 hours we lost most of our dmg and XP slowed considerably. However overall XP for the people 45+ was around the same as Finliaths, so that was okay. XP for our low lvl leechers was EXTREME. A druid in our group levelled from 25 to 38 in the time we stayed there.

I know at least one of the other groups did better, because that was where all the loot went. Kudos to you. :-)
I also know some people did not as good and were pretty sad afterwards, because they expected more.

For me that event today was a test run to see if we can pull it off and if it is a viable option on Uthgard to level low lvl twinks and guild members, espacially ranger, nightshades etc that have a hard time finding a group. Normally for every low lvl toon there should be one dmg dealer 45+, ideally 50. That wasnt the case today, so there is room for improvement.
Overall though it worked great and we will do it again.

For those that did not get the XP they expected or were left out when asking for group, Uthgard is still a very young server. Most people today were not Lvl 50 and actually built groups to earn some XP themselves. Its the first time in Hibernia anyone had the chance to powerlevel a character, everyone else earned their XP the hard way. So please remember nobody is entitled to a place in a great XP or PL group. My best advice is that: Make friends ingame, that are willing to help you and that can be helped by you. If you have trouble finding people to play with, read the forum and ask for guilds that are recruiting.
DAoC is a game that highly depends on social interaction and getting to know people that you can play with regularly.

Have a good night and check the forum for updates.

We will do another Siabra City Zerg soon. 8)

P.S. On a sidenote, I had a feeling that the respawn time on the Siabras was pretty low. Has anyone sources to prove it used to be faster on live?

Tree, thank you for hosting this event.

My Ani went from 14 - 20 and I spent a great deal of that time LFG hehe.

Was a great event. I was a lowbie without a group. I was fine in till I heard shiliza from (pulled out to early) or close to that guild name spam for more 40+, they had room for 4. For about 90 while i was there he spammed this. I asked him a few times just for a few lvls and was told to fk off basically. Then he complains about not getting loot when Tree switches out of BG..Nice...

Thanks to Tree for making this event and thanks to all the high lvls for being there.

I was a 23 bard and i made a lowbie group of 5 healers and 3 random classes under lvl 30. We could only get xp from healing. I stayed for the whole event and when we were headed back there was only me and a druid left in the group. It was hard to get xp from healing as sometimes you healed targets and still didn't get any xp.

I made it to lvl 27 with 1 bulb when we headed back. The druid in my group started at 12 or 13 and made it to 20 or 21. I was there since the start and overall it was 7 hours well spent :-P

I made around 30 gold while the battlegroup were up. Thanks Tree and the other high lvls!

Thumbs up, Tree ! =)
Sadly i couldn't wait till 7PM the start of the raid, so i went by myself on spot and logged out for the night (4AM here ^^), then relog morning as soon as i could (damn this queue...). Could then join a social spot in the guild grp of a pal (thx to the folks from Tatort !) and made 1.4 lvls in the 50' the raid still lasted. Pity that with the EU going to bed, nobody came in order to keep this thing alive, as we had it on Avalon running for days, 24/7, sometimes. But anyway, with making some new raids there, maybe people will realize that it's worth in order to produce 50s quicklier.

We did last night, all in all its not worth going unless you have a group with 40+ who can land everytime

theres almost always 1 group with multiple 40+ animists that get hits everytime and you cant even click the mobs fast enough to try to hit them

so 1 or 2 groups get good exp rest of the people get scraps or nothing

you do get capped hits if you can hit the mobs but you miss 90% of the exp and groups wont invite you unless you are 40+

better off staying in a dungeon with a real group and grinding it out.
