I've experienced it from a few angles now, having been playing my animist and mentalist on different occasions.
1. As a mentalist (37-38), I had someone messaging me (and then saying he was building evidence to get me banned blah blah) because I was pulling from the same spot as them. To give some background, I was running between 2 camps and AOE dotting some of the Siabra mobs. I'd been doing this a while and left one camp for a few minutes - 2 animists showed up to one of the camps. These mobs were mostly red so took some management on my part to keep them dotted and for me not to die during a kite operation. He claimed as I was pulling mobs away and sometimes they were returning (on full health usually), that i was griefing their XP spot. He was playing a low lvl animist and being PL-d by a 50 Animist. In honesty if he'd been a little nicer in asking me not to pull, I'd have been much more open to doing that. Or if they'd requested a POM instead, I think that'd been a fair exchange too. However, I was given abuse from the start and told that I was the inconsiderate player - then told I was being reported. Oh also at one point, guess when the 50 animist was away, their shrooms became overwhelmed and they ran to the guards (in the Bog here). I thought, ok this is a chance for us to show that we can be good realm mates. I tried to assist them, looked at their health, that was ok, so no HOT needed, so I dotted the mobs still bashing on the main pet. In came the abuse, you tagged our mobs, I'm reporting you! For heavens sake, the guards were hitting the mobs too, so I thought I'd try to help too! Won't make that mistake again, hope I don't get banned for that! 2. As my mentalist(37-38), I was single pulling mobs, dotting and nuking down (the North Bog mob camps). A 50 animist moved in, placed shrooms in the middle of camp and pulled every single mob. In addition, every mob that spawned instantly died. Guess as orange/yellow to 38, that these were blue/green to him. I was just considering asking if he'd mind moving his shroom field so he didn't insta kill every mob, so I could have a few mobs when another 50 animist turned up to the same spot and did the same thing. I assume, he was annoyed at the 1st 50 animist as he'd previously been pulling nearby the spawns (in a better way). 3. As my animst (lvl34), when solo I place my main pet and just nuke assist single targets. I do this mostly in dungeons as it's risky doing FnF turrets. I've had people instantly messaging me claiming that I'll ruin the camp, XP loss from pets, also sort of crap. I try to calmly tell them that my main pet is under my control so they needn't worry but usually it's not worth trying. I've had people purposedly running mobs to my main pet in the hope it'll wipe me, which it hasn't ofcourse as my pet is on defend. This has amused me somewhat but actually considering the intent is quite malicious, it does ruin the experience and feeling of the game for me. 4. As my animst (lvl2x), in DF - I found a quiet spot that no-one was in (right off 1st X road), seemed good spot to use FnF shrooms and started going to town. Of course, moments later, a group turns up and give me crap about it. I respond that I started before any groups were here and it's part of the way an animist works to level in this way, I get abuse back. Suspecting they may try the pull to shrooms, to wipe me trick, I cease pulls and prepare for the worst. They didn't fortunately but they did pull in to range of shrooms, so I got more abuse. I logged. Sometimes it's hard to enjoy the game ! - Inqy/Spymistress/Sly -

@kinthos
I feel you man. Players should deal with these things themselves. Having this server rule may have been in good intention from the staff, but the result is sadly a more aggressive environment with selfish inconsiderate (and often dumb) people bullying you. This is pretty sad, on both sides.
At times there are animists that feel since they can kill an entire camp that they can just walk up and kill everything there whether people are already there or not. Then there are times when an animist has a camp and a random group walks up and attempts to pull from the same camp and then complain when they pull through shrooms or god forbid the animist keeps pulling the mobs he has been. Why we have these issues is really my question. We're all on the same realm and team even though, many people don't think that way. Which is sad. I always call it the pvp mindset, you only get what you can take off the table. It's really sad that this happens in every realm, just seems more of an issue here since animists can be such a solo power house and easy to troll with. I think the rule may just exacerbate the issue even more, on top of having a pvp player base makes it that much more of a pain. However, if they would just increase the mob density, a lot of these issues could be resolved or at least reduced but I know that's not gonna happen since I've been asking for that since beta. Just funny when during Live the game had a LOT more mobs with under 3k pop but on a server that has over 4k pop, we have even less mobs. Hilarious. <Blood Feud>

You can pull purple mobs or other mobs to get the animist killed and make a point. You cannot do this with necromancers and cabalists, plus animists will still need to regen their power.

Makes me wonder though.. Are any of these posts relevant? I'd say way more than 50% are irrelevant yet its only me that gets the brackets ![]() ![]() My mind’s made up, don’t confuse me with facts.

You and Requin. But only one post of Requin, the Mod must have missed the other 96. ![]() ![]() Good times ![]() Well back to topic. I was just online with a twink and a few people struggled to kill a Cronicorn in the Siabra City area so my Lvl 5 old Eldritch thought "Hey good opportunity to test if the hitcode is broken enough to land a hit on the Lvl 70 mob", so I cast exactly 3 spells on it. Of course they were all resisted and nothing happend, big surprise there. ![]() What was actually surprising, after the mob was killed one of the group ran up to me and said "noob" in public chat to me. Well alright, I understand where that idea came from. ![]() A few seconds later however he send a private message telling me that he will appeal me. Eh yeah. For what? Not damaging his groups mob in a public SC area? Thanks to the staff rule these braindead CSGO kids actually believe they can appeal you for anything or in that case nothing. In my opinion there should be a rule in appealing, if its a very irrelevant appeal, you get a warning.
get too many, and its like 30d suspension or a 3 months ban or even longer. imo all this appealing about everything has gone out of hand. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Today i had a strange incident.
I was camping a Mob inside a dungeon with my Animist. The place was totally abandoned. After some minutes a Ranger popped in and threatend me to stop placing shrooms. He gave me '1 minute before he would reported' me. I was politely trying to talk to him and that I needed like 2 minutes to check if a rule exists on Uthgard, that prohibited me from playing my class on en empty not camped spot. After coming back from desktop after 2 Mins he said he already reported me. He then intentionally started to attack Mobs within my shroom range and told me that this was an 'harrassement'. So I was forced to leave the spot since I don't want to be warned/ banned because of breaking a doubtful rule. I did not intentionally attack his Mobs, so what exactly was my wrongdoing? Please help me claryfing that up! Jark - Hero

You have to make sure that he is able to pull as well as you can pull. Reminder to Self: Quality over Quantity, what is the Value here?

Since I had no possibility to place shrooms in this small room that would NOT hit Mobs within aggro range I simply have to leave the moment another Class demands to play there?
Just to clarify: I had no opportunity to plant shrooms elsewhere to pull mobs there since there was spawn all over the place. Please don't misunderstand. I don't want to sound ironic, i just can't imagine that this is the desired bevahiour. Jark - Hero
