Can somebody explain the differences? The consensus seems to be that the Berserker puts out the most damage. why is this? Are BM's significantly worse than zerks/merc? How does triple wield compare to dirty tricks and zerk mode

while I don't doubt that zerkers put out more damage than BMs and Mercs, you'll find that every BM on uth seems to spec shield for slam for some strange reason. Then they complain they don't do jack for damage in comparison.

now you're going to see a bunch of people defending that weird BM spec as being the greatest thing on earth, but until I see a well played 50/50 spec BM, I'm going to reserve judgement.

if I rolled a BM, id 100% be 50Cd/50peirce spec. theres no reason to spec shield i know that from live

Out of the 3 1v1 i would say Mercs have the best set up because of Dirty Tricks

But in Group set up

1) Zerkers beucase they can zerk ( Highest Damage Table )
2) BMs when TW is up there the 2nd Highest Damage, But have a Back Snare
3) Then Finaly Mercs there style damage is higher then BMs but a lack of a back Snare hurts

even with out TW I'd still vote 2nd for BM just becuase of A back snare it works wonders ^^

You need to spec shield here because 2h damage sucks which means you'll never see a hero or champ in AT to stun, and you don't lose any damage if you have 50 CD and 50 composite whatever weapon spec, and only use CD styles (no reason to use any other styles either).

2h is too weak in comparison to two weapons.

Yes kinda. I cry when I see BMs/mercs/zerkers hitting for 300 with 3.9-4.2 speed weapons and me hitting for 250 with a 5.5 weapon. Like the 2h damage bonus is implemented backwards.

I now have all CD / DW / LA played classes on Uthgard and can say that these games are quite different and also in terms of harm there are differences.

Berserker = 350-400 dmg + 60% LA dmg 2.4 delay if LA a fast weapon
Merc = 300-350 dmg + 70% chance DW with 3.0
BM = 250-300 dmg + 70% chance CD with 3.0
Savage = 220-250 dmg 1.7 delay

u see bm loss, but have backsnare

imo go composite 51 blades, composite 51 pierce, 50 CD. Blade offhand and switch between pierce and blades for mainhand.

The dmg difference between pierce and blades on mid studded is too much to ignore. I get hit literally for about twice as much on my savage from BMs using slash as I do the ones using pierce. Have some screenshots of a pierce and blades BM both hitting me at same time, and the blades BM doing 200+ mainhand (against 40% resists) and the BM doing around 100 mainhand (against 60% resists).

you basically have the opposite against mid chain, so being able to switch back to pierce when needed is nice.

I agree 100%..slam is good but if you have it in the assist train it would be much better to have som1 who always does + dmg to your target. Bm dmg kinda sucks anyways so they need to take advantage of this. wtb cd styles to have better gr's then blade/blunt/pierce... :(
