Will there be a shroom cap? I dont think there was on 1.65 patch?

There is a cap, we were able to reach it with 4 or 5 animists in beta. Not 1.65 like no, but thats alright cause we don't allow custom changes on Uthgard.

The official reason of this cap isn't to prevent lag/crash server?

Yes. For now it is a technical decision. We will monitor this and then decide how to proceed with the shroom cap.

good ol times where servers crashed every second raid because of too many shrooms.
great tactic to prevent relic raids as well...

Y, wonder why this is custom........ remember old times, when albs try to get relics and most of hibs logging animists for relic defense. Zonecrash and relic was deffed. :hammer:

I give the staff alot of crap about their refusal to implement what i consider common sense deviations from 1.65 much to no avail. However if they remove the shroom cap and the server crashes no one is having any fun, some things can't be helped.

There is simply no discussion either any democracy.
There is just the "vision" of a daoc-classic-server, provide by the staff and any of us is free to play or not.
End of Story.

I took not. Life´s just too short for server like Uthgard 2. Uthgard 1 was really cool, specially Tajendi or Custom BG´s.
But Uth2 is... a anticlimax for me. But i hope everybody can enjoy Uth2 and can find alot of fun. It would be really sad, if the Server gets developed longer then he was open.

This was a problem 13-14 years ago when they weren't nearly as high of quality as today, and if the Animist population is reflective at all of what it was in Beta there won't be enough Animists in the whole population to crash the server. It is fine, the realm bias is very clear and prevalent on this freeshard.

I'm waiting for Greenpeace to come chime in, randomly spewing bullshit so that animist have a max limit of 4 shrooms per person because Mid doesn't have animists.

i think we should discuss this!

i mean, they said "no costum changes" - how bad can some server crashes with possible rollbacks be?
