Over the course of the last week or so, I've been forming the Bog of Cullen Animist XP Zergs again, and with how popular it's been within the alliance, I've decided to post detailing how the event works and what I expect from participants who join us.

First off, the entire goal of this event is to level Hibernia as a whole. I'm not out to level just my guild or my alliance. All people are welcome to join the battlegroup, though group slots are ultimately restricted by the number of animists we have. The more animists hit 50 and continue to help out, the more people we can level at once.

I host these events to be a fun and light hearted event for lowbies to get some xp, I really don't want to see negativity in these events. If you have issues, bring them to me, rather than calling people out in chat.

I organize and run these events on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday primarily, with other days being up to popular demand and animist availability. I will typically start forming around 11 AM - Noon Eastern Time.

We will typically gather at the safe spot around 28k 40k in the water by the tower, and move to the zerg spot around 35k 35k once we have enough people. Lowbies, it is ultimately your job to get to us, and there are safe routes available. If somebody is on the way they may be able to help you get to us, but we generally do not have time to ferry people back and forth or send rezzers away from the zerg.

What I expect of animists:

If you bring an animist to my event, first off, Thank you SO much for helping the realm!

I expect the 50 animists to be our group leaders. I would like to see each animist hosting a group of up to 4 people level 40+, or a full group of lowbies. If somebody is looking for group and you are under capacity, please pick them up. I don't have the time to /bg groups and /who everybody to determine if there is a group slot available.

I understand many of us are here to level our friends, and that is wonderful! Whichever level range your friends fall into, just please fill out the group.

I do not want to see a lvl 50 animist in a duo with their buddy ignoring the rest of the zerg (or leeching out of battlegroup in a duo). If your buddy is 40+, start a 40+ group, if they're a lowbie, fill out the group. They'll still get great xp.

What I expect from lowbies:

Please understand that group slots can be in short supply during these events. Just post in battlegroup with your level and that you're lfg, and an animist will invite you if they are under capacity. Please please please, do not start whispering people or complaining in /bc if you don't get an invite. Groups may be full, leaders may be afk or still on the way down, or an animist may have a guildie on the way, which is perfectly fine.

It is also your job to loot. If you see bags on the ground, grab them. Our xp is determined by how often animists can shroom and if we have to break our regen by running around to collect bags, that's that much less xp you get.

Please also donate any gear or salvage drops you pick up to our 50s that are helping out. A poor 50 is a 50 that probably doesn't return to the bog. Personally, the coin and salvage drops are just a perk of helping out, and are not my ultimate goal, however, some of our 50s may be trying to get a template together or saving up for a house. Please thank them for their time in helping out!

On 40+ groups:

The 40+ groups are primarily intended for mana ments, naturalists, and pullers/aoe casters.

The 40-49 people do not get great xp in a large group, which is why I set aside specific smaller groups for them, so that everybody can get decent xp. The zerg cannot function without mana regen, rezzers, and pullers.

This is not to say we will not invite your 49 hero if we have room and you have your heart set on bringing them down, but if you are in the high level group, you will be expected to be a puller.

On AFKs:

People are going to afk in the zerg. This is a fact. Please let somebody know if you have to step away so that if you die, our rezzers aren't wasting power trying to rez you. Please also check back in every couple minutes, or as often as you can, and if you know you'll be away for an extended period of time, turn off loot with /autosplit self

I really hope everybody that attends these events has a good time. We all love to see the colorful lights of Hibernia leveling up.

Cheers,
Mura / Dranith of Neartmhor

This is wonderful to see as hib leveling is a little painful. Are you talking 11 am or pm? Want to make sure I'm around to xp and help out.

Thx for orging these events Mura. :)

I also want to mention, that ´s easier to find groups, when ppl ask their guilds/friends before these raids if lvl. 50 animists can support them and build a group themselves instead of just joining the bg and ask for a group, because these raids are sometimes low on 50s Animists and it ´s not easy get everyone grouped.

Thats an awful lot of rules. Siabra City always worked best, if someone organized the initial people to start pulling and after that everyone was just free to do what they wanted.
Plus I dont understand what you want there leeching a 40+ character, let alone a group of 40+ or even a 49 character. XP-wise that makes to sense, just go Fins.

Because some people hate fins. i ****** hate fins

The zerg is fun. Hanging out with 40 of your fellow hibernians, shooting the breeze, helping out your lowbie realm mates and getting some xp/coin for yourself. what could be better!

I don't see how 2 rules is an "awful lot". Fill groups, and donate salvage if you're being pl'd. The rest is just fyi stuff to explain to people what's going on.

I just want people to come out and have fun and help people level since there is barely any groups in the lower levels these days.

The Organisation is great, the Event itself is great, it helps the realm, yet there are still ppl who want to spread negativity. Dont let the critics get to you Mora and thanks for all you do! As ranger/ns main I really appreciate your effort :)

Hello,

I appreciate the effort you put into this a lot, Mura :) Always a pleasure to join this event, although I can't participate every time.

Best wishes,

Its starting to get a bit greedy again, no groups for lowbies, even tho there was 8 lvl 50 animists there when I tried to get a group again ,which should mean 8 groups at least , not including the lvl 40 + animists. Groups not full , saw around 9 solo lvl 20-40s trying to get group , but there are still lvl 5-20 grouped . Brings back memories of a few months ago.

Yeah, I've had my 50 animists out there a few times pl'ing people. I won't be doing that again as nothing is put back into the zerg.
Just about done..

All I can do is ask people to invite. I've tried reporting the leechers but the admins have never responded to my /appeals, so I cannot do more than ask those who don't want to participate to leave, which will go ignored every single time, because I can't enforce any guidelines I make for participants.

If people continue to close their groups and/or leech out of BG, I'll just stop running the zergs. Until I get clarification on the rules regarding camp claiming, there is nothing I can do.

Unfortunately, I cannot make people open their groups and abide by the requests I make.

As much as I want to help as many people as I can, too many people bring their "what's in it for me?" attitude and can't see far enough down the road for when they'll want to level an alt at the zerg.
