I must admit I didnt read the "solo" only. More precisely, there was another thread about warden spec 1 day ago that I replied to, that was talking about group spec. Got the two mixed I guess.

Thank you for your post anyway Shade. I'm sure there are readers that do not post still appreciate your input as I do. I usually play Druid or Bard and wish more Wardens would spec for their group role. Bards and Druids always have the enemies attention and sometimes the Warden gets ignored letting it be the combat medic.

I was drawn to this post because it said Warden spec. It did say solo in the first post but he also listed 3 different specs that gave different ways to play the Warden. You can spec for solo, but when you get a 50 RvR group, the group is going to expect you to play a certain way.

I have a 45 Warden and i would def advice going the 50 blunt spec atleast till 40 , Leveling as a mostly reg/nurt druid is fine just you wont do very high dmg due to low blunt skill but red dmg add will make up for some of it... Whoever said specing blunt or sword high as a warden doesnt increase dmg is a moronic idiot who made up something so they sounded important on the big boy forums..

a Firbolg warden with 50 blunt spec , with yellow dmg add , and fully buffed is a force to be reckoned with , I have 1v1 many tanks/stealthers/casters all similar or above lvl

If you are looking to go solo def go firbolg warden 50 blunt then nurt then parry/reg the 10 sec stun is cool regardless if it gets purged just do it again ur a walking wall of steal and badassness and it should take them quite some time to take u down unless there is 4+ ppl vs you

sux wardens get forced to be wannabe druids, guess its the story of mmorpgs if u can heal then ppl usually force you to go that route otherwise your ****** and have to solo.

it's better

42 reg
10 blade

or

33 reg
25/29 blade

for a rvr specced Warden ?

i would suggest if you go 42 in healing go 10 in blunt instead of blades for the side snare ;)

nope its not a sidesnare actually but a hindered effect

but blades lasts 14s while blunt snare lasts 20s
well the problem about the 42 heal is that you can't specc into the 15er blade style wich does slowed as follow up for the hindered lvl 10 sidestyle cause you only have 13 weapon left

@Akip

Hindered=movement speed decrease
Slowed=Atackspeed decrease

So yes, blades has the snare atack so go for it ;)

if you plan on doing any type of dmg and be able to defend yourself as a warden dont go 10 weapon , thats pretty laughable dps and ppl will probably just get angry when u hit them with your toy hammer and it makes a squeeking noise...

if you want to be a healer , roll a druid.. thats what they do best..

sigh...

If you plan on doing any type of dmg, roll a DPS class.

For Group-Warden I'd go 42 Regr.

+1
Best warden around are 42 reg
No one would care about the proper damage of the warden OF COURSE, warden isn't a dps at all !
This is a support class that's a support classe that you bring you some decent dps throught aog/add dmg, some defense from resistes/bt/side snare.

IE : Woody Best druid :)) (and aylwynn too)

guy asked about best solo spec, never did he ask about what is best for group... if warden is forced to be a healer in groups why do ppl even play them? that would basically mean your playing a gimped healer... when u could be playing a bard or druid... just my opinion , obviously neither of you have ever played a melee/nurture speced warden because you are simply unaware of the dmg potential with dmg add, self haste , and self buffs...

hybrids like the warden are on a hybrid dmg table and there for when you put 50 into blunt you benefit highly from it , unlike pure melee classes who can make due with low WS....

where as when you put 10 points into sword as a warden or hybrid.. your basically hitting ppl with a wet mop... hence your pathetic dmg and weak healing abilities because your a freaking hybrid not a pure healer....

Basically
For Group-Warden I'd go 42 Regr.
if you wanna play support-heavy (mainly in a kiting grp)
or pushgrpspec with i think 33 reg if you are playing in a grp where you
are supposed to rupt as well, so it simply depends on the playstyle of you and your grp, the only mistake you can
do is speccing too much in weapon, the rest is up to how you are supposed to play.
wardens cover a wide range from rupter to healer, but simply arent suited as DD only.

if you want to solo as well i think the 33reg spec should pretty much do the trick.

Best warden around are 42 reg

Nuicaid is 42reg? since when :)?

edit:no wait or was it Craigh:p ?

ok here I go.

Celt +10 dex + 10 str +10 quick -- bald if possible ;)
:D

49 nurt - - - - everything red!
39+11 blades - - - - fire blade + spectrum blade(target's combat speed decreased). The difference between this style and the after-parry one, is the defense bonus (I believe it helps your block rating :D) ;););););) and of course its an any time chain :P
16 reg - - - - resu, some minor heal, buff health regen....
12+11 parry - - - - it really helps :D

.... I really like it
I know there are several ways to play warden... But I Think this one is a good one :D
