Never played hib, thinking of rolling it for 2.0. Thoughts?

No idea about that, just make some tests yourself^^
It's also funny how people simply expect things to be done, without even considering to help with the researches :D

My post wasnt a request, it was more a try to insinuate a dubt on what people usually think it should be
There was a time when Uthgard 1.0 existed and maaaany toons and arrpees arose... but now:

+1. I think split specc won't remain that popular.
Probably high RRs will still use it.

BUT has blue ever said that they're going to fix it ?

My only hesitation on Eldritch is that it is a caster, and in RvR melee trains are just so face roll that they win more often than lose against caster setups.[..]

And with 1.65 and Old RAs, this will only get worse than it was on Uthgard 1.0

Since you said you've played a Merc earlier on Uthgard I think BM would be a good choice for pve and pvp since there's (almost) nothing going you won't need at least one tank for.
Enchanters can be nice too since they can debuff the primary casting line's base DD and thus are naturally assisted by other casters for hurling some bad pain around. And in pve you can petpull when grouped with a mentalist or druid/warden/bard. And good news here: it's all in the same spec line, so you won't need to respec.
Elds on mana-spec are useful for xp groups, but I haven't seen many elds specifically asked for in raids. Menta or Anis are better suited for raids, so an Eld would probably end up being an RvR-only char.

Remember it's easy mode getting to 50 in Hib, probably easier than any other realm imo, so it shouldn't be a problem getting one pve toon leveled and one rvr toon. This is what i generally do and it works out pretty good.

considering to choose hib and wanted to make a character basically for pve, drop, gold farm, etc, also some rvr.. first requirement the easy of finding group in any situation, what would be the order of choice between druid, animist pbt and warden?

For PvE:
1st/2nd: Druid or Animist. Depends on what your preferred style of playing is. Animist is basically a battery or pile o' lego on a key while druid is essentially a buffer who throws the occasional heal. Although the latter varies widely dependent on group setup and type/amount of mobs the group engages.
Speaking of: an Animist can do just fine soloing if you don't find any or are not in the mood of playing with a group. Druids.. not so much. Unless you spec Nature, but that's some "odd man out" business.
3rd: Obviously the Warden. He can solo and does well in groups too, especially because he can be a secondary tank, aswell as an emergency/backup healer and the pbt is vital for fighting tougher mobs.

RvR question isn't that easy to answer - at least for me, but I'd say Druids and Wardens always have a slot in RvR groups. Wardens maybe not so much as Druids, but Resists are always good to have.
Animist has a sh!tload of utility in RvR, but you need to do and consider quite a lot of things simultaneously to be really effective and it'd still be a tough call.

I'd go for Druid or Animist. Druid for a more RvR oriented play, Animist for raiding/farming and general money-making.
