Once I get my Animist into his 40's+ I will always be happy to PL. Grouping is quite difficult right now even for Animist and support characters. You just have to find a group of people that will group with you and find them each night, I've gotten 16+ players in 2 nights with the same group of people doing that. But yeah, I will be PL'ing with my animist when he is able. Gotta get us caught up right ;)

The scourge of focus pull.
Great xp, great powerleveling.

But people don't learn how to group, and coordinate properly, and the realm-social aspect is poor.

I had no probs so far to make "classic" grps with my bm...3-4 melees druid bard menta, 1-2 ae dd or animists...many enchanters are even happy to not focuspull for a change and bomb away ;)

At the beginning spot availability was awful but it thinned out now at the end of the 20's and theres almost always some spot free.

Downside us that you have to make them yourself most if the time ;(

That is the main difference about the grouping experience right now. People expect groups to be running and have room. Almost all the groups I have been in, I have started myself. It does not take long to fill a group once you start it.

Granted I am still in my teens and can not speak for past lvl 20 groups, but I have had no troubles getting into or filling a group.

My main is currently an animist, but I'm only 2x right now. However, when I'm forced to start groups, we always take at least 2 non-essential-to-farming classes. For a while, a nightshade and blademaster were in my group daily.

Really though, Animist isn't my style. I'm playing it cause I was having issues on the classes I really wanted to play trying to find groups. I use the lfg tool daily. I started out as a ranger, moved to a bard, but was having just as much trouble.

Another downside is that Lough Derg is missing some camps, unfortunately. The more widely known camps are there though.

Anyway, I welcome any and all other-realmers to Hibernia.

I'm thinking about playing my Enchanter since the XP is so slow on my Nightshade. The problem is that I want to play a Nightshade.

All of the Bards are grouped with Animist Farms or Enchanter Focusers? If not, I dunno.

All those focus grps really surprised me too. I know we did focus pulls on live when we were 50, but normally not while levelling up. Its kinda dull, only the ench plays, rest just heals pet or does some dmg or does basically nothing. With friends I mostly levelled with normal grps and shroom spam, but you cant argue with the efficiency of a focus grp.

I just hope people will level twinks soon, because we need tanks and stalker in RvR.

To answer your original question about instruments, don't worry about them. You wont need to twist in pve and even in rvr its optional. There is no powerusage when playing songs, the quality only affects the song length. You can get to 50 with level 1 instruments.

I don't think we'll be too short of Stalkers. Not as many as we want, but we'll have quite a few. There are several of us that made our Stalker right out of the gate and we're slowly chugging along. There are a few that are 30+ now.

Tanks? Soloing those are a real ******.

Got help from Nightblade, was really great. And made it to lvl 10.

Then I found out empathy does /&¤& for bards and rerolled a new bard, that is lvl 6.
But still have the weapons Nightblade gave me, so still doing fine.
The one who helped me transfer also gave me some gold, so only meeting friendly people so far.

Seeing way to many enchanter/menta duos, guessing some are bots so when bans start that might thin things out a bit and open up for more normal groups :)
