Still,you can´t compare things from back then with now.bugged TWF where you couldn´t see the area it worked in, DF permanent open so you could farm your RR with TWF and lvlers there, AotG bugged like hell which made it op.Also,your opponents all were lower RR then you,or equal RR max ;)If you start a warden here now,things are going to be much harder.

More then 10 ticks? And Det+Stoi affecting duration? Guess why i canceled this RA

I'd like to thank everyone who tried to warn me about wardens.

Spent the last couple of days trying to have a good time in Brae. And it's struck me many times; I serve ZERO purpose. ZERO. In a group I am nothing but a spot healer (not a good one since I haven't put much into reg) and a minor annoyance for the other realms, sort of like a mobile damage add.

I did have one decent moment in two days where I fought down a reaver and a paladin that both con'd yellow to me and lived. It wasn't pretty and between the paladin and I (after the reaver was downed) it literally came down to the last hit and I swung faster.

As much as I enjoy the hell out of my warden in PvE (chaining OJ's most days is awesome fun) I have to say that Brae has shown me ugly things about the class that just don't do it for me.

I'm sure someone will argue that Brae and not having RA's is not an accurate depiction of the class, and I would not argue against them, but I would instead ask:

- Is AoG really going to make that much of a difference?
- MoP and MoParry going to really help that much?


In my opinion, from what I see, and from the lack of high level wardens actually running around, I would guess not. I may continue to level him up and keep him strictly PvE and use him as a slow farmer since I have no downtime against anything lower than reds.

If you do a heavy melee group with like 3-4 bms, then aog is quite nice (but far from essential). But in most group setups warden is a suboptimal choice to other classes.

I am currently a lvl ~30 Warden and I enjoy it very much.
If you allow, then here's a few tips from what I have learned this far:

Always team up with a tank, in my case a Hero, which I think works well.
People might not take you as the first choice when making teams, so take the initiative and start being a leader instead of a follower.

Knowing when to use Bladeturn, and when to use DD is important; if enemies are slow hitters or miss a lot then turn on Bladeturn, if they are soft and easy to hit go DD.

I currently use blunt, but I'm sure blade works just as well. What I like about blunt it the slow attack speed, which is beneficial with the attack speed buff. The slower the weapon the faster you'll hit. So go grab a mean club and bash away.

Baseline and resist buffs are very nice, so I'm really baffled that you guys bash this class so much. Spec Nurture to for team love, and get 16 regrowth for Rez. I have neglected parry for now, and don't think I'll spec it ever.

Power is a huge problem later on, so get Serenity II first. I am now going for MCL. Healing with Bladeturn can be tough on your power bar, so another dedicated healer in team is always good.

I never played Warden for real, so i cannot say if he is this bad, but what is the Problem in RockPaperScissor?

- You beat Tanks
- You should can beat Healer ;)
- You loose against most Casters
- You loose against Stealther
- It is average against other Hybrids
(that is what you said)

btw from thinks that i remember you can beat purple df-enemys solo.
And for RvR the Instant Rezz shouldn't be so bad.
Also i liked the buffs from him.

The only point is there are no solo tanks(warriors, armsmen and zerkers/savage you mean, cause warden should anyway lose to a reaver, merc or hmm thane? but thats a hybrid i guess) and no insta rezz on uthgard ;)
