full respec lvl 5
single respec lvl 20 and 40

other respecs can be bought with Bountypoints or diamond seals or won by joining raids and killing legion or dragon

other than that there is no respecs :)

Better follow one way to 50 or just to your respec levels 20 and 40. there you can choose another way but better stay consistent.

Especially if one doesnt know the spells or the game. I think respec is something for the one who knows what to do.

playing an eld right requires a depper understanding of the game to avoid frustrations, especially sun and eclipse.

splitting up skill trees is by far the worst you can do with this class, so choose one and stick to it.

if you really want to start out as an eld, i recommend way of the moon for the PBAOE (point blank area of effect, aka the bomb).

leveling solo is a pain with all 3 specs, while bombing is by far the most group friendly.

in a regular group you wait until the meeles have a firm hold over the mobs, then stand RIGHT IN THE MOB (every feet distance costs around 20% damage) and start bombing till they are dead.

the best group you can have is a mana enchanter and a mana mentalist or a bard. going as a trio, the manaencher can use his pet to pull large numbers of mob with his damage reflecting focus shield and generate enough aggro to enable an manaeld to stand in the middle of the pulk and bomb away.
waiting till the mobs hitpoints dropped to around 60% is recommended, so they wont turn on you.

in rvr the table turns and favours sund and eclipse eldrichts due to their attackrange and damage over distance, while a moon specced mage has to depend on his group strongly and need a good tactical understanding about basicly all classes involved, friend as well as foes and there abilitys, and a keen sense of timing to make the most out of his PBAOE.

way of the moon outclasses both others in terms of pve, but is very hard to use efficiently in pvp, while the other lines perform well in pvp and can barely group in pve.

choice is up to you.

although i dont recommend an eld as the first class at all.

the best way to lvl up is to get mana spec in grp.

with good setup grp you'll can farm really fast.

if you want to solo, sun spec is good. btw mana spec is also avaible for solo.

about finding groups, well, the group search feature doesnt work atm.

the two options we have right now is either the /broad channel to look for a group OR to use the /who command.

the /who command has many different ways to be used.

you can look for names, guilds, classes, areas, level ranges or combine the different things.

a few examples:

find player of a certain class:

/who druid
/who bard
/who enchanter

to find people of a certain level:

/who 10
/who 10 15
/who 20 24

check who is in a certain area:

/who muire
/who darkness
/who agramon
/who "lough derg"

check for a guild:

/who morrigans
/who legend

combine:

/who 10 15 muire
/who bard 15 25
/who darkness druid
/who agramon 45 49 nightshade morrigans

you can basicly find anything anywhere if the players arent hiding their online status with /anon.

so if your lvl 10 and you look for a group, just do /who 8 15, look where they are, then eg do /who muire, if there are many, limit the level range /who muire 8 13.

then use the PM system to ask if they need you.
/send xxx hi. do you have room for a lvl 10 mana eld?

or ask people to group with you.
/send enchanter hi. are you looking for a group? im a manaeld lvl 10.

sooner or later you will find something.

good luck mate.

about the spells, pretty much have to figure it out:)
right click on a spell, in the new mini window click the info button and try to make sense of it.

Also try to use /broad if your looking for a grp :)

something like /broad mana eld LFG will usually get you a group if there is anyone online near your lvl :)
