Having not play much DAoC before ToA, I made an eldritch when I joined uthgard, but I guess I underestimated how different the game was without ToA- at 50 now, I really can't take another person telling me they don't want me for any group, be it RvR, raids, or anything else, and I figure I might as well just reroll to something people will actually group. I'd like to stay damage-heavy so I can farm, because that's something else an eldritch can't do very well... any advice?

stick to your eld
but make sure you cover a few things: 1. dont go void 2. be templated 3. ask for grps, again and again and again and again 4. if your US... well i dunno what you should do then :p if you however wanna try a dmg heavy non caster type try a BM also they are liked in grps - however less and less now as most setup grps are tending to be caster / hybrid setup |

tbh eldritch is absolutly necessary for every hib grp, as single caster in tanksetup for ns+disease and ofc in caster/hybridgrp for dmg. i dunno how it is in BGs, i guess with godo equipment even nightshades are good in grps^^
but for agra i can say, that the most eldless grps just fail ! ~Sinalco~

I am just having trouble really making any money. With resists and power regen, farming is almost impossible, and no-one wants you for raids or anything like that. I think I will make a BM to at least keep myself out of the poor house

BM is not really a char to make money...
on the other hand, it costs plenty to run it decently. make a manamenta. you can group with anything, every farm group needs one and any raid group has at least one. not that wanted in rvr though, but for making money a good value char. |
|
thats even more important than having skill (unless the guild test u before joining ^^) at least for boss raids elds have no use, but in RvR are a must... unless u are wrong specced, bad templated, laged all time or so |
|
Eldric is very good on rvr, only if u are light spec (imho), red NS, blue aoe Disease, red debuff D/Q aoe, debuff Str/Con aoe blue, aoe Snare... just know what is your place and what u shuld be do in your rvr group... u are not a heavy dmg dealer (about 300 dmg on a chaar without casted resist, and +/- 250 on a chaar with resist), and if u dont kite u will be die first @ every inc...
