Hi, i'm workin on a mentalist atm and i wanna know more about Mentalist path. Actually, im mana specc (for leveling) and it's pretty good, even in rvr. But i wanna go for pur dmg at lvl 49.

Tell me everything about Mentalist specc :

What is special with Light specc :

- What type of dmg are the DD spells ?
- Does it worth going 50 in it ? or 45 is enought .
What is special with Mentalism specc :

Is it only mezz/cure ?

it is mainly for demezz you spec in mentalism

a common spec is enough mentalism for demezz and rest in light for high DD dmg and charm

46 Light / 28 mentalism / 4 mana is the only viable menta RvR spec.
This gives u the last light DD, with enough RR the power to charm the ellyl pet (hits rlly hard for a mob) and cure demezz. Hell u even got pom1 for the sorry sods who don't use pom barrels/charges.

A light menta will only shine in a caster or hybrid grp. Solo menta in a tank grp is just cannon fodder. With a chanter's heat debuff (and add the ellyl pet) u will hit like a monstertruck with your spec DD, which is heat damage.

Yes those points in Mentalism are purely for the cure demezz. You'll have less variance with your base heal aswell but honestly you have druids to heal.

So, Mentalism specc is a must for a group rvr menta ?

As we have almost no caster's group going on in rvr on hib, i might go solo. So, Mentalism will be.. useless.
Should i go for 48light/24mana/6mentalism ?

Also, am i crazy or i've already seen a mentalist using ice spells ? What is it ?

mentalism is better for solo too. you get single mezz, dot with lower lower variance and better base heal.

If you really want to play solo, do 4l2 in thid and then... Beg for grp till rr5.

I often play solo with my menta (45light 28menta 10mana) and it works. Best dd deals great dmg + you're able to charm best pet in Agramon (however 54lvl ellyll sage tends to resist charm on lower rr so 46light could work better).

Dont play mentalism spec! With 1.80patch menta doesnt have energy base dd in mentalism line and so it's pretty pointless to spec it higher than 28.

I also wouldnt recomend mana spec. Dots dont deal good dmg and cause of low light spec you wont be able to charm better pets. I dont know how you plan to play but casters are really easy to kill on uth (especially with all those camping stealthers) so the faster you finish off your enemy the bigger chance you will have to survive.

Some of the best duo partners on live were mana chanter/light menty duos, they work soooo well together.

the best way is to go full mana till 50 then respec light.
