Okay. You've probably noticed I've been making tons of threads across all these boards to get info on the classes that interest me. After a long debate, I've decided to join Hibernia because I love playing as the underdog. Being said, I will be rolling a Bard (main) and an enchanter (alt). I need help with a bard spec now. Please give me your input for 8v8 bard :)

You've got 2 choices:

A) 47 music, 43 nurt, rest regr -> best mezzes, tho also most expensive rupts that way. You can't heal, just cure disease here and there and focus on rupting.

B) 37 music, 43 nurt, 33 regr -> slightly worse casted AE mezz and a worse AE insta (lower radius and duration), however you do gain a lot of versatility when it comes to playing defensively and using ae mezz is cheaper to rupt.

To smallman I would advice the 2nd spec, but since smallman on Uthgard at the end game is inexistant, I'd say both are viable. Keep in mind though that you will have to be playing highly offensive as a bard with 47 music.

refresh my memory... nurture line gives what spells and music line gives what spells? nurture is the songs and music is the mezz?

The only spec you can take for endgame rvr really. With 47 music you will get oom way too fast without any heal to use when enemies are mezzed or got mezz immunity.

I would start with

dex3
purge1
sos1
moc1
mcl1

think thats a solid base you will need a s bard.

After that go for purge3 as soon as possible :-)
Fabienne - Blademaster
Junia - Bard
Audrina - Ench
-----
Zoe - Sorc
Stella - Pala
Devon - Scout

Get SoS1, MoC1, dex2, purge 3 to start with. Hib often has only 1 demezzer. You just cant afford to let your grp down cus of the reuse timer.

I am one of the rarely active played bards here, i would advise you to try out 47 Music first and always cast insta-AE on mid grps since at low RR and without purge 3 you ll have some problems at inc start vs them

(your experience should work out good vs albs at inc start)

for later playing, means u are a bit used to uthgard rvr and recommendly RR5 including purge 3, go 37 Music - you wont need red insta-AE then for more.

just my 2 cents

if you run often in random grps, i recommend you to get purge3 faster.
this spec isnt good i think because you want something from all, just am1 is missing to complete this dream-list ;)

focus on MoC1/am1/purge1/sos1 with a good playing guild- or fixed setup
OR purge3/mcl1/sos1/+whatever you like for random grps (purge3 badly need, believ me)

I appreciate the info. That being said, how easy will it be for me to log in and get into a competent RvR group? If I dont land a solid guild, will I still find mates to run with regualrly?

No, you won't. Not in hib.

You will find an RvR grp, competent is an entirely different matter.
