![]() So we are 2 Annis and one menta at lvl 21 really new to Hibernia and searching for good Spots with a huge lot of Mobs or fast respawn for mobs lvl 26 and up Yeah i know first u would sugest DF but there goes Everyone so also not enough mobs ^^ Would be perfect if someone could help with where to find some spots on Uth. (because like i get to know most of the Live Classiks spots doesn t exist best example is Cliffs of Moher they seems to me like Death Plains on Uth) thx for your help, Azzrael |
|
Lough Gur, near Innis there is a huge mob camp of spiders. They are around lvl 24 i guess, but u wont find a bigger spot in Hibernia.

Pweet are you referring to the Dampwood Mites? From level 27 up they're not effective anymore. What's good to AOE in similar fashion post 27-28?

There is nothing better than DF on Uthgard.. The spots you are refering to don't exist imo. Except the already mentioned mites. And leprechauns in CF are decent too. For every other level I guess.. dungeons will be your first choice?

You could go and kill lough catchers (think my spelling is wrong, but they are big cats) in the south west corner in the Lough Gur zone. There is a ton of them, but they are more around 30-33, but for a small group they should be fine. If they are to high then just go to the camp to the west of them where those mobs are a few lvl's lower.

I actually disagree with Kirillow. I HATE DF for leveling. Not going to say that I didnt use it from time to time, but I would say that I leveled my first toon on this server 85% of the time I was solo, and 75% of my leveling was done outside of dungeons. The only 2 dungeons I hit really hard was Sprag Den and CM.
|
|
So you're saying there's no other AOE soloing outside of the mites? It would seem like there'd have to be something...
Sprag Den seems like very minimal returns as well for the time spent in the dungeon. Soloing/Duoing outside of Sprag Den seems just as fast if not slightly faster with a good duo vs screwing around in SD or even DF. (Time wasted LFG etc.) |

Well, I'm not talking about solo leveling.. I did 5-40(something) in a Ench/Ment/Eld-Combination.. So I'm talking about high amounts of mobs at one location.. Almost the same (not exactly though) what two animists and a ment might be looking for..
DF stands out because every single mob gives you 25% more exp. This simply isn't something you can ignore ![]() And I did have the feeling that in outside the dungeons the concentration of mobs at one spot with a decent respawn are ... really difficult to find. I only know of mites and leprechauns. That's all I'm saying. For instance the rocot room on our side of DF is something you should'nt ignore.. Great times, great times ![]() |

There are plenty of spots.
From lvl 20 on your 2ani+menta group can do EVERY SINGLE LEVEL outside faster than DF. There are mainly two reasons for the hype about DF: 1. The lack of knowledge of other spots, or the laziness in trying to get info about them. 2. People only watch out for "peak exp", meaning those 30 minutes that you can level unhindered at your favourite level spot(s) in DF. The funny thing about this is the following: People hyping DF are also the ones complaining most about gray ganking and exp-wiping in DF. From a purely statistical point of view, your 25% exp bonus is probably eaten up by downtime/rezzing/regrouping/.... if you get killed once an hour. There is no saying "you level faster in DF and those stupid a**es ruin daoc".... it's the same thing, risk+bonus, on average I'd say the "losses" outweight the bonuses. For your setup, it is even worse since you have a high kill-rate, you will probably need 2-3 spots (or places like "the cook") to have enough respawn. Now if hib owns DF, you will have a lot of competition for the spots --> not enough mobs. If other realms own DF you will get killed sooner or later --> no good exp over time. One more thing about DF (doesn't apply to your situation): I found that the most unskilled and plain STUP!D players are to be found in DF. I have levelled in other places, namely cluricauns (~lvl21), mites (~lvl23), treibh (lvl28-35), corus (lvl30-40), sheeroe (lvl32-50) and meet more experienced players at every single one of those places, compared to DF. Especially for your "fast exp" setup, the lower levels of treibh and all of sheeroe will be great. (Almost) no competition for spots, so you can easily pull from 2 or 3, save spots to stand/build (once you found them), no id!ots around and no disturbance. With 2 anis + menta, you can also easily roam a bit in sheeroe, say put 3-4 rounds of shrooms up, kill all mobs from surrounding places, then move on to the next 2-3 spots and set up a couple of rounds of shrooms there. Good luck hunting “DAOC is not about what you can log. It's about what you can play :> ”

You just recommended more dungeons with the addition of Sheeroe Hills
![]() ![]() Still, I don't see the "plenty" of spots you were talking about. But DF is a matter of taste, agreed. |
|
Well, my post was mostly about sheeroe since you can do ALL your levelling there from lvl32+. The other spots (dungeons) were just quick alternatives to DF. There are plenty of other spots mainland (starting from pathanans/curmus, over different types of rocks, trees, ghosts, ... all across hibernia), but it would take me an hour or so to write a "guide" when to go where with which setup. Of course, finding enough mobs for 2ani+menta is a challenging task, and many regular spots don't qualify for this setup.
The high aggro range in sheeroe is actually a GOOD thing for animists. Usually you set up your shrooms and then run around gathering mobs to follow you to your shrooms, so high aggro range helps. Leprechauns are good for 3-4 levels, but in sheeroe the level of the mobs gradually increases, so you can go in as deep as you wish until you hit the mobs that fit your level best. “DAOC is not about what you can log. It's about what you can play :> ”

DF is 25% XP bonus Behind enemy milegates is a 40% XP bonus So yes, there are better spots than DF on Uthgard. ![]() |

Shade (Ivia) is absolutely right, as is Icharaus. If you are really looking for a good xp bonus then go to Alb or Mid frontier behind an enemy mile gate and farm there. You will get a great XP bonus, but I dont know of any really giant size camps that can support 2 animists and a ment. Also, you mentioned the mites, but I'm telling you that if you go to the SW corner of Lough Gur there is TONS of mobs in HUGE camps you should be able to farm. I think the lower lvl camp is some sort of bandits then right next to them in a HUGE open valley is TONS of Lugh Catchers (not for sure on spelling) and then right next to them is mobs that also con a tad higher. These guys drop decent loot for their lvl that stacks and are worth damn good xp. Try them out.

Theres a large camp of empyrean elders in collory i used to hit around 40 solo. And if the porters inside treibh cailte work, there are 2 separate rooms with large mob camps. Also a large camp of siabra in bog of cullen at the first lake past sherroeentrance

Sure, there is the "Behind Milegate"-bonus.. I did some great solo exping there too but.. Well, I checked pretty much every zone, the only decent spot behind a milegate is in HW MMG - "Cait sidhes".. But I was able to perfectly clear this spot as a solo light ment. Not sure if this is efficiant enough for 2 animists + ment
![]() And we shouldn't ignore that you can't set up campfires in actual RvR zones (which DF doesn't seem to be for some reason ![]() Still, I do agree with all of you. There are spots in Hib Mainland that work perfectly for soloing.. But the way animists work.. I don't believe most of these spots are sufficiant if you aren't planning to roam at all.. High concentration of mobs are .. cluricauns on the border to Cliffs of Moher.. parthanans... the curmodegeon camp close to the parth farm (not your level anymore I guess ![]() ![]() Can't think of anything else. Oh, what is alright too if you can live without campfires: fellwood/grimwood camp in PM.. Although they have an annoying level range sometimes.. 43-55 at some spots ![]() |
