As an example

Parry if taken to 39 then +11 with Scing

Would you miss out by going that way or would it benifit to go

50 +11

I cant remember what skills are better over 50 with Scing and what would be of no benifit.

All the skills that get a further chance to work for every point that you put into them, are eligible to get over 50, but only if spec
is planned to do so. These skills are celtic dual, parry, shield, etc etc.
People usually don't take them to 50+bonus not because they would not work better, but because they prefer to spend those points in a better way.
Shield is taken to 42 for the anytime longest stun, taking it to 39 would be nonsense

This post is an opportunity to ask smth. In the case of a NS. Which way is the best to increase melee dmg with the skills over 50 between CD-Pierce-CS?
I mean, as we get new RR, we can respec to optimize our spec but what is the best way to do? More points in Pierce to improve WS? More points in CD for better offhand hit chance? Or CS for....mh I dunno what puttin more pts than 39 will do beside getting new styles.

Does somebody have figures about the real gain of extra points in those skills?

Put +skill to increase our WS is nonsense, because weaponskill dont have influence it should have, here on Uthgard (wrong implementation?)

Stealth, Poison, Buffline aren't affected by a number above 50

Well stealth above 50 give you a bonus... against a mob that is higher than lvl 50^^
but in rvr its useless cause no other player is higher than 50

Point over 50 on :
Weapon specs :
  • increase the damage bonus given by a style of the spec
  • increase WS but seems to have no real effect
  • for dual spec, increase probability of 2nd hand to fire
  • for Left Axe, increase base damage of both hand
Magical specs :
  • increase the damage (but just a little)
  • for sun spec of mentalist, enable to charm pet of higher level

For defensive skills (shield/parry), it's the same benefit than points under 50.

For achery spec, i think that it simply increase damage and in a better way than magical specs does on DD/DoT.
