Hi all,

Bored at work so I figured I'd actually register here and say hello.

I'm new to Uthgard but played on Uk Excalibur and Camlann since long before SI and until a couple of weeks ago hadn't touched Daoc since Catacombs. Currently playing an Animist and actually really enjoying it and slowly remembering all the random stuff I once knew and dealing with the random newness (don't remember no tinderboxes for example). If anyone is about I should be capping Braemar tonight on both lvl and rr following some great fun last night. Her name is Lvavalva (go on try to say it :P) say hi if you want.

No idea if there are many old skool UK players out there or not although I ran into an old Llaw Arian (sp?) member in the starter guild so figured I'd see if any other suckers still played :). If you remember Chosen from Excalibur or Fear from Camlann give me a shout :). I see some names that sound/look familiar but can't be sure really.

:).

Heya and welcome!
That was sure fun yesterday evening and we really tried to find and rez you everytime you got killed  and i was happy to see, that you didn't quit ... the odds were really against us over a long period. Good fights, hard fights, much fun.

The Pronounciation was a problem for sure, but we settled for "Lava-Thingie" :D

Have fun and see you around!

Cheers for the rezes, when I tried earlier in the week the small guild based grps ignored me :(, nice to know there are friendlies about as well. Had some fun last night before capping suprising how effective an organised small 2-6 man grp can be against larger numbers :) was surprised a Warden/Ani/Ranger team worked well enough to take the ck tbh.

Back to the grind now almost 38. Out of interest do any Animists RvR at 50? I'll be mainly PvE but still want RR4 or so.

I might as well answer before the OMG YU ROLLED ANIMIST FOR RVR YOU FAIL ROLL A BM army gets to this.
Animists have a very hard tiime rvring at 50 here. Arbspec being the only viable option, but int doesn't factor into damage on uthgard. Which means kiss your bombers goodbye. But most of all yer fighting the perception people have of them in rvr. If arb is only spec and yer prime spell is gimp why group you over other casters? And uth being tank heavy yer liikely to be first on the zerk/merc train list.
Which isn't to aay animist can't work. I really enjoyed animist in bgs. Kite like a madman, rely on yer snare bombers and lifetap assist and debuffs. And kite somemore lol. Stopping to lay a shroom field usually gets you killed heh.
I wish you luck. Don't giive up trying to rvr @50.
Recap: the animists #1enemy = other hibs lol

Btw there are WAAAY to many smileys in this topic :)
