Hallo all;-)

my friend i are close to 50 with our Lurirangers.

Now we would like to get some help with the spec (thinking about meleespec) and the frist Ras up to rr5 ;-)
We didnt know if afther the Supernova nerv MeleeSpec still works.
And we booth think about Blades ^^ .. not pierc.
Yes we know mostly go Celt when Baldes but we think more Qui and more Dex is really nice as Luri ;-)

At leat which kind of Weapon we should use ?

Blade-Mainhands:
Harpy's Gaze (dex/qui debuff + Glow) [Has Parry on it]
Basalt Blade (Lifeleech + Glow)
Qadeshian Iceblade (DD + Glow) [Has Parry on it]
Fine Steel Longsword (fast Speed Mainhand and afaik Parry on it)
Grim Blade (Lifeleech)

RA for Blade should be Purge3 for str-debuff (will be your sure death).
Rest in Aug Str, MoPain, MoS (MAX 2!!)

Blade-Ranger should be played at higher RRs tbh

I wouldn't go 50 CD after the side chain nerf. I'd go:

35 Pierce
35 Bow
40 PF
36 Stealth
24 CD

Seems alright for RR4.
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt
[3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck
lordgriffon wrote:Oh by the way... ever seen a group of 8 smite clerics? Or play against a group like that? I have. Absolute devastation. The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

Harpy gaze dont have parry in it, its grim blade.

I would go 37 pierce, 21 CD (rr4 = +14 only --> 37+14=51) just my 2 cents ^^
Btw, I bet in this spec for my luriranger ^^

pierce is better than slash, not because of the dmg type, but s/c debuff will hit you twice as hard, since lots of enemies will be assasins
