Returning to the game 10 years later, I have since forgotten quite a bit about a lot of stuff. I appreciate the feedback on previous posts as well. I was just wondering though, at 50, what armor should one be using? Epic armor from the trainer? DF armor? Crafted armor? Dropped armor? If dropped, from where?

Also, I seem to remember years ago receving an enchant to make my weapon glowy. Is this still available? How do I gain access to this enchant/weapon?

I don't have too much gold at the moment, so budgeting in mind is greatly appreciate.

Thanks,
OneReturned

Depending on your class, a set of crafted/dropped armour and decent jewellery is rather expensive. You could do what I did as soon as I hit 50 on my first char - wear parts of your epic armour and some drops if possible (join up with every dragon/legion raid you can) and try to optimise it with a few crafted 99% weapons/armour parts. For jewellery, ask around in your realm for the "cookie cutter" gear, such as the DF Diamond necklace. As soon as the first character is set for making cash, you can stick your 2nd and 3rd characters into fully SC'd templates before they even leave Thidranki.

I would agree with the above statement. If you can try and make your 1st character a toon that can farm solo if needed and also a toon that can get invites to Tajendi/Dragon/Legion raids. In PvE content you can get by with non maxxed templates. It is in RvR that you will see a huge decrease in your effectiveness without a fully maxxed template.
