Hi all,

Just got back after a long time and wanted to ask what alchemy items are recommended for a meele ranger template.

I finished my cheap 99% template and now need to add the alchemy stuff but having problems remembering what should I use for armor and weapons and where should i put them.

Thanks to anyone for any help!

Personally, I use DoT procs on my melee weapons, a DD charge on my bow (since procs on bows do not work yet, I'm afraid) and ablative reprocs on the entirety of the armour. Will most likely stay that way unless I magically find heal proc drops to go into certain slots!

I would use DoT charges on all your armor and weapons. I use 2x lifetaps on weapons but you cant craft those so you would need to farm them. For your bow, if you use crafted, I would put a debuff on there. I use 2 crafted bows (5.5 spd and 4.5 spd) and I have s/c debuff on my 5.5 spd bow and a d/q debuff on my fast bow. The S/C debuff is HUGE against any sort of tank class you may fight. The D/Q debuff is huge against assasins, casters, and high defensive classes like friar/pally. I do recommend a dd charge somewhere in your template as an interupt and if you dont plan on using the Bracer of Winds in your template for the 17% haste charge, then I would stronlgy reccomend putting the 17% crafted haste charge on your boots or gloves.

Obviously, if you can get the heal proc armor in places use those. I'm not that big of a fan of the albalative procs, but that is mainly because I use a 150 value Albalative charge. A DoT charge of some sort is also nice to have around for after you drop your RR5 on a person and it doesnt quite finish them off. You then drop ur DoT charge on them and run :)

U should ve Adamite Barrier as vest for heal proc and the rest u can just put Dot on everything expect hands and feet. There u put a DD charge and Dot charge if u dont ve a 1.5k range dot item in ur temp. otherwise u can go with a debuff.
If u want to win 1v1 u need a S/C charge and 150MHB charge, otherwise id recommend to better play like an add ranger, will give u more fun/rp than getting ganked by better equiped ppl =)
I dont see the need of Bracer of the Winds, I run with crafted 14% haste pots and it is enough. U just need to be able to hit 3x during the side chain and even as a Celt with 40Path DQ buff thats possible. So i dont see the big point of using a 3rd charge, since SC and MHB are imo much more important.

Everything Pweet said is true. I wasnt trying to include higher end charges to much since I assumed you were working with a limited budget. About the only thing I dont agree with is the haste. Yes, you certainly dont need the Bracer of Winds, but its super easy to throw a crafted 17% haste charge on a random crappy MP item so you at least have the 17% haste instead of 14% haste.

Use dot procs on armor + MHB charge.
On weapons I have dot procs as well. As a ranger you are not interested in a long melee fight hence dot is superior to MHB.
My experience is that you can run 2 charges and wont lose or win money / bounty points. With 3 charges running (MHB, S/C and haste) you will lose bounty points / money and have to make pve in order to keep your RvR toon running.
That is a viable option but not for me :)
It also depends if you melee a lot like Zacknafein or rely more on your bow like pweet / me. If you just use melee to finish off your enemy 14 % haste pots are perfectly fine.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

Of course seems that some say use ablative proc on armor others are going for pure dot proc . On wepaons general concensus is DOT.

This is my only toon and only have 3-4p to work around with so can't be nothing fancy , also I'm pure meele.

Also what is MHB charge ?

MHB is a melee health buffer. Ablative, like the proc, but as a manual charge and with a higher value (150 instead of 100).
