Greetings everyone btw!

Old old school player here from Guin, dating back to beta and all those happy times since release. And i caught word of this server, and i have had not a single thought of what it would be like to start DAOC up again but man, i was totally intrigued when i heard about this.

Could i get a quick rundown of it all? Are there plenty of people for good RvR? How is leveling these days? Just a few thoughts on how this is and if its definitly worth delving into would be totally appreciated.

The thought of playing DAOC again excites me like crazy, this was the MMO that set the bar for me...and ive played them all since, and nothing has compared.

So hope to hear from you all!

How are the Ywain servers though? Are they healthy enough to play on? And im assuming emain is still gone from those servers?

We have Old Frontiers and all the classic zones (with 2 custom PvE instances and SI zones on the horizon somewhere) though it's the NF RA set. Battlegrounds are Braemar (20-35,2L2), Wilton (36-43,3L2) and Thidranki (44-49,4L2).
Population is 700+ during Euro primetime though American primetime is a lot lower. Action RvR-wise varies from day to day but there's always some 8v8/zerging in Emain and keep skirmishes in the other zones. Battlegrounds are also pretty popular.

Exping is like you remember from the old days though with decent XP bonusses in the RvR-zones, Darkness Falls and RvR-dungeons.
Depending on when you play finding/building good exp groups can be hard but there's always a decent amount of people in your level range. Levelling to 50 can range from 2 weeks to 2 months depending on how intensive you play ofcourse.

there is certainly a bit of the old DAoC feel on this server that hasn't existed on live for years. If your goal is to get to 50 and geared up as fast as humanely possible and jump straight into rvr then the old school grind may leave a bad taste. But if you enjoyed meeting folks leveling in groups and helping the community then i think this server is better than live.

RvR off hours can be pretty sparse though.
