I'm considering making a Bard in Hibernia. I started out in Albion but left there since the interest to group to level is not present in that realm. After soloing a few chars to 50 i got tired of how keen people are on soloing. Even as Cleric it was hard to find a group and i found myself soloing most of the time. I moved to Mid where I was on live, I liked it a lot better people are interested in grouping and mostly i can find groups in a matter of minutes.

The thing is that I have always been cheering for the underdog. And seeing Midgard holding all relics for weeks now made me thinking that maybe Hibernia would be more of a challenge. But I need to know if Hibernians are like Midgard or like Albions when it comes to grouping. Do i need to solo my Bard to level him or will it be fairly easy to find groups? what is the attitude like in Hibernia?

Thanks

huh oO

Granted, it's been a while since I leveled something, but I never remember having trouble grouping, unless you play like AT minstrel or something. Just from the activity in /lfg I find it surprising that people would not want to group.

Did you use /lfg, or asked people for group? I can't believe that you can't get group on cleric.

Yes i used /lfg a lot to try to find groups, i have 50 cab (no need to group), lvl 35 inf, lvl 34 cleric and lvl 31 sorc all having problems finding groups. on rare ocations i find groups, but mostly i have soloed all of them.

Solo is often faster xp for many classes until a given lvl, but it's so boring :)

As I xp minstrel and reaver in Albion at the moment, I can say finding groups is not that big problem.

One issue is that you need a paladin in Albion to make useful groups and they are quite rare.

Without Pala most of the time it is easier and more efficient to xp solo.

It is more convenient to have toons in different level range as of low server pop not everytime groups of certain lvl are going.

Clerics are only useful if group is bigger than 3.

For example a nice setup is pala + reaver. With cleric you xp slower. But cleric would be essential in bigger groups as you go for purp mobs then.

As cleric you could also look for caba for petpull.

I cant speak for hibernia though.

If I dont find group instntly I go BG or I craft.

Getting groups on Hib is fine, i find....

What times (GMT) are you playing?
The enemy lined the shore in a dense armed mass.
Among them were black-robed women with disheveled hair like Furies, brandishing torches.
Close by stood Druids, raising their hands to heaven and screaming dreadful curses.

Exping a Bard is quite easy, usually ppl send you if you spamm lfg, and if you cannot find a grp, just make /who yourlevel up to 3-4 level above you and grp a stealther ^^, meele rangers deal good dmg and are glad when they find grp :). Fullspecc nurture, restpoints to regrowth and become alchimist to use pom buff/mana pots on your level.
Exping Bard isnt the Point, playing it in RvR, and keep on playing bard is the point where ppl usually /surrender after a few incs where they get 3 hitted by charge zerker :D

Agree'd with that. But you will find very quickly if bard is a class for you or not, if you play Braemar/Wilton/Thidranki and found it fun as bard. Even if BG and real RvR is different, I find that for bard, BG can tell you if you are made for this class ^^
