Wow I havent played DAOC in years .. I played 5 years strait from launch. I want to play a NS but I hear its a real pain to start out with if you dont have a high level to feed it.. What would be a good toon to level as a farmer ? also is Uthgard's server pre LA nerf ? I remember that LA shadowblades were at the top of the assassin tree before that nerf. Back to the point not sure if I should just roll my NS and start there or if I really should make a toon first to farm some DF seals. If i were to make farmer what would be a good choice. I dont normally ask people what to play but it has been so long since I played, and even longer since I played pre TOA..

Can't speak of hib class selection, but as a general rule of thumb...

If you can play at main time, get a nice grp char, like tank, drui, bard, maybe even ani... make sure, the class is wanted in pve and at raids @50.

If you mostly play off-hours, choose a char which you can play solo, too.

Some say, your first toon should be a caster, as armor is hard to get and having bad armor is not that worse for casters.. but I personally do not prefer to cast, cast, cast - then sit all the time.

As I raised my toons in Albion, I got to know where the proper armor/weapons drop, and then I went there to xp. Also try to find out about the one time drops and available quests.

Skill a tailor, so you can salvage all stuff while xping, and start earning money soon.
