Best tank group setup for leveling?

After the recent mana regen change. Not sure we'll see as many caster groups leveling up in live. That being said, what are some ideal group setups to level quickly using tanks? I know wardens seem to be very unpopular right now as well, will more tank groups make them more viable? Or are they still going to struggle with finding groups at 50?
I was thinking maybe Hero, Hero, BM, Warden, Druid, Bard, Ment, and pbae? Or drop Warden for another pbae? Thoughts? -Huggles |

Hi,
Must have for a good xp group a warden for Blade turn and 2 Mana-Eld/Ench for dps. 2 Hero/Champ 1 Warden 1Druid 1 Bard 2 Mana-Eld/Ench last 1 Menta or what ever. Nathali lvl 50 Bm
Janubis lvl 22 Champ Nahemara lvl 15 Druid |

I would say 3tank (even warden) 1bard 1 druid 2 pbae and last spot for mana menta or second bard

Bard druid druid hero ment eld BM BM. -- decent for xp and still be good at 50 even for rvr.
You could swap ment for ench for a better group at 50. But then you won't have power regen. Could swap druid for another bard. But then you'll only have 1 Druid at 50. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk My mind’s made up, don’t confuse me with facts.

Two druids for leveling?
My Setup: 1 Druid (Main Heal for Tank with instas) 1 Bard (AFK ![]() 1 Menta (POT) 1 Warden (Bubble) 2 Tanks (Main Tank and Secend as Backup, Schild Spec !) 2 Damage Dealer ( Enchi / Eld Bomb) If You want, sort 1 Tank out, than the Warden is second and you got one Social Slot for whoever ![]() Faithnall lvl 50 Elfen Champion Lyonesse Hibernia
Elmer lvl 15 Druid Elma lvl 11 Ranger Faithnall lvl 7 CHamp PS.: Suche deutschsprachige GIlde. |

Wardens, even at 1.65 without shield spec, etc. is still a much needed group roll. PBT, solid heals, dmg add, base buffs, resists, backup resser. There's really no reason to not slot one in a 8man melee PvE group. In rvr, is a different story. Depends more on the rest of group setup, I.E. if u prefer to run dual bard or extra dps.

the best sertup is to have people who can think logically and have almost yur level.
u wont level in exact the same group day for day, look whats out and invite people who fit into group. the best setup wont help u if the people afk or worse. i personally like 2 wardens in level groups (above 26) and if u ask for tank groups u should consider that u will never see any ench ment or ani in your group, because those will focuspull ![]() |

You have a strange impression of a tank group setup. After playing alb and mid a "tank group" setup would be something like:
1 drui (spec buffs, main heal) 1 bard (endu/mana* song, single mezz, support heal) 1 warden (BT, damage add aura**, off-tank, backup heal/res) 2 shield tanks (tanking, guarding group members with aggro - this can be actually a challenging task!, protecting the main and support heal) 1 ench/sun ench (damage add**, cast stun, on higher levels also debuffs) 2 melee DPS to fill up, even NS or melee rangers are suited... wouldn't even mind another warden or bard with high weapon spec, one of these 2 should be the main assist, never the tanks and I wouldn't recommend the warden, either But Hibernia sure loves their casters to do the damage, I guess. ![]() *: If the tanks are tanking as intended, you will hardly drain enough healer mana to require any increased mana reg. In case you have to sit down for mana anyway, bard just switches song to minimize downtime. If you have ever seen some real "tanks" with real shield spec guarding each other, you know what I mean. **: Under the assumption the damage add from warden and ench ench stack, I think my friend playing warden mentioned his damage add stacked. Since the ench ench has 10dps damage and warden still has BT, I guess the setup is still benitial. It's about having 5 dps do ~5dps (if the warden fully specs on nurture he is nolonger an offtank and lacking real melee DPS) more damage add or a 6th melee doing another ~21dps (numbers for level 50, for earlier levels I assume a similar proportional situation). Also you have to consider the limit of how much the druid can buff 6 melees instead of 5, he is likely not able to fully spec buff 6 members, before running OOC. The ench ench would only need quick/dex for cast speed, not even the brain buff, since he could only waste mana on his poorly speced baseline DD. Also the ench ench has a pet he can let hit the enemies for another "damage add attacking" doll, so he is actually adding a half melee DPS on his own. |

Has anyone figured out if there any level difference penalties?
Last night I was farming drinkers in DF with a 44 champion, 41 hero (me), 38 warden, and 29 bard. I felt like the xp was incredibly slow. Maybe this is just normal for a 40+. Maybe DF xp is just really horrible. Is the 44 champion or the 29 bard soaking excess xp? I'm pretty sure there is some kind of level penalty, but I have no clue what the formula is or which party members get penalized in the equation. |

The only thing we recently noticed was a lvl19 party member gained significantly more XP as soon he hit lvl20. They were the lowest and with lvl19 they had a grey/purple relation. So I'd advice to keep the party "colourful". The lvl29 guy clearly felt out of range, but to our observation is that the low guy gets bad XP, but not that we as higher characters got bad XP.

This was the exact group that you would most commonly see when patch 1.64 was live. I played a Warden then and this was the most popular setup for pbae leveling groups. I quit playing just before 1.65 went live. |

Definitely hoping we see a lot more tank groups in hib come release. Really miss this style of xp rather than the ever boring focus pull. I know at times it might be faster but god is it boring. More Tanks groups ftw!

Do you think we'll see a shortage of tanks in Hibernia? I can't decide on BM or Ranger. |

I wouldn't be surprised, although many folks who are veterans will know that they are needed for RvR. It's just at higher levels when folks become bored with leveling and just want to sit at CF fins to easy focus pull, it gets harder for tanks to get in the group. However there are other camps for that level range and really hoping that we see more folks in the 40+ area now that it is release. So it's all speculation but typically Hib is more caster friendly, so tank groups won't be as common but thats just my experience from beta, which should be a lot fewer people compared to launch. <Blood Feud>
