Hey guys, wondering if anyone can help me out with some names of mobs that heal in hib?
I'm usually an alb player so I'm not quite so familiar with the mobs here. I'm aware of Empyrean Elders, but they're not charmable until level 40. Any lower ones for a mentalist?

Many thanks

Woah, that's surprising. I'm guessing by all the views and lack of replies that job just has the one healing pet. I can think of at least 5 in Albion!

I was really thinking about this question, as I ´ve a big knowledge about Hibernian mobs,- I think only empyrean elders are able to heal others,- these guys heal themselves, dunno if they heal allies too http://camelot.allakhazam.com/db/search.html?cmob=700

I also remember 2 siabra guardians in Bog of cullen that were able to heal, but I think it was only limited to the area they guarded, they were part of a quest. (edit: orange to 50 and can ´t be pulled away from area, so no pet for you)

edit 2: Maybe this link will help you a bit, no more heal pets but a nice overview of some good pets (incomplete) http://charm.enygma.net/hibguide-classic.html

regards
Meg

Cabalist has life transfer and Paladin a heal aura. *cough* :D So strictly speaking... yes, yes, I am already stopping! :P

But that's truly strange, since I remember finding a heal pet in Albion on almost all maps or at least the one next to.

I tested out this pet this evening with some friends and he has a strange behavior, dunno if it's normal or not.

First we were duo, the pet buffed af, s/c and d/q to both of us.
Then we were trio, he buffed AF and s/c to us but no d/q at all. On a fight, i lose pet for some seconds due to a mezz, when i get him back he rebuffed totally 2 of us but nothing for the third (out or range ?)
After a death, we tried to disband one before taking the pet and check, first time he gave the 3 buffs to the 2 persons.
Later, we took another pet and he gave only AF + s/c (when we were disband to be 2), then when regrouping he gave af to the third.
Later again, he gave a d/q more.

Anybody knows how many buffs he is supposed to give (has he a cap like drood with conc ? Only 6 buffs seems a few). And why can't we have always the same amount of buffs with duo, even with trio ? Is it a bug that should be reported ?

@ Vashna:

as far as I experienced Menta, the pet behavior sounds strange. I don't remember pets having some con pool, they didn't even have manapool on uthgard 1.0 or elsewhere I remember.

In how far did you loose your pet due to a mezz? I don't know if that's supposed to happen - only situations where you loose pet that I remember were: pet resists your charm (e.g. if to high pet), pet is "out of range" (e.g. when you put it on stay or your pet is CC'ed and you run away)...

And strange buff behavior (e.g. not giving d/q) is 99 % not working as intended. The pet should stop buffing specific buffs, if you already have the SAME buff (e.g. if you got druids s/c, it won't constantly try to buff you s/c), but nothing else.

If you want, we could try that out a bit the next days.

Greetings

Moe

I tested all this a little more.

We loose pet everytime we're mezz or stun, and this instantly (i don't know if it's normal, never played on 1.65).

Concerning the buffs, the pet has a cap for sure but they don't all buff same things. The pet is buffing his ally mobs (empyrean guardian, etc). When he did that, he buffs you less (eg only 3 buffs given). If you kill his ally, he will buffs you more.
Some pet give up to 7 buffs, others 6, others 5, dunno why.

Again i don't know what is normal or not.

Would be nice if a GM or a player with enough knowledge give his thought here.

Okay, I can confirm you loose the buffs when mezzed/stunned. But I tested it several times and you seem to loose the pet just after the next tick, not instantly. I also checked old forums (from 2002 and 2003) and loosing your pet when mezzed/stunned is working as intended :grumble:

I can also confirm that the pets do have a bufflimit - though I don't yet know if they had one on live at 1.65...
