If there is interest, I'm looking to start a more casual guild on Hib. I won't be focusing on the mix/max perfect 8v8 setups or rushing to 50 in a week. Any classes and specs are welcome. I plan on playing Warden. If you want to play NS, ranger, or spec Mentalism - great - we'll find a way to make it work.

I know the private server community is more focused on the 8v8 aspect, hopefully that doesn't dissuade BG players and keep take zergers from revisiting the nostalgia. I'd love to have enough casual players interested and we can consistently get guild xp groups going from the start.

Let me know here if you'd like to join me.

EDIT:
My play time will be afternoon and evenings US Central.

Best of luck m8! I really hope there is a healthy mix of 8v8, Pugs and Zerg. Would be a shame if we end up with just a couple of 8v8 grps fighting eachother after some months.

I have been having the same thoughts over the last couple of weeks. I would like to be a part of a guild that is friendly to new players, all classes, levels, BG players, zergers, crafting, etc. I enjoy the PvE aspect of classic DAOC quite a bit and it would be nice to have a large number of people always looking to group for xp and to have a home for new players to learn the game and ask questions. I'm a US central time player as well.

Good deal!

I'll be on when the server goes live. Send me a message on Billiken to group up.

Was hoping I'd find something like this on start up. I plan on rolling an enchanter and I'd be up for a more casual approach to all things. I'll be for sure looking for you once the server goes live!

Play time would be mornings and evenings US Eastern!

I would be interested as well. I finally decided to go Hib after major indecision. I plan on a (poorly played) bard, champion (not ideal, I know), and animist (broken, I know).

Also CST, mostly weekday/end nights.

Love the class selection. I'm thinking Valewalker and Eldritch myself. Hope to have a good spread of classes in the guild and realm in general.

Thanks! Man, I really dig Valewalkers too. I've played a lot on friars, and VW feels similar but with some pretty sweet extras that I really like (castable lifetap, disease, snare, etc).

Champ may turn into a VW...tough call. I love the debuff thing too...Damn it, I thought I had this all hammered out! lol

Having become a father of three and a well-established member of society I would gladly join a guild as described above! :)

I will play a Hero on EU prime time.

Just PM me here or toss me a /send tomorrow (the name will be "Musculus").

I like the sound of this! I'll be rolling a Druid to start but probably goof around with an Animist too. Haven't played in over a decade so my suckability is pretty epic.

I'll look you up tomorrow!
