I used to play MLF years ago as many dfferent classes.

So I decided to come back to camelot, uthgard as a chanter in hopes of faster grping, and endgame caster grps etc.

Found nothing of the sort.. Leveling was SUCH chore and took weeks of grinding.. finally get to 50 and i have to farm more for my "temp". Finally get a temp and I can never get an RVR grp. like ever...

I see dm spam constantly of people fighting.. and they are all guild grps who wont grp you or even accept a recruit.
some say create a group, i say sure.. and after you finally manage to make a nice 8 man.. if u even die once they all rage quit.. and you all know this.

Not sure if all realms are like this or its a euro thing?,... but i have had the worst grping experience of my camelot career and its drove me to almost deleting.

This is not a QQ but more or less letting casters/enchanters ? beware your class is clearly not grp friendly and if your looking for a casual PUG /b lfg rvr? u wont get it...

roll a stealther if you come to hib is all im saying
and be ready to lose real life friends getitng to 50 cuz it takes forever.

fyi i am selling my enchanter tempate if anyone interested. fully capped..

If you're quitting you can just give me the temp for free..... or a high five and a hug ;) or you could join one of the many non elite 8 man RvR guilds and get grps with people you're on discord/TS with.

dont get fooled by the 8v8 forum warriors. join a guild that accepts normal players and that has a big alliance.

Start out with zerg events, dont run 8-man. you will be breakfast for the ganksquads.

by your own you will achieve nothing.

8v8 isn't all the rage... sure its fun and the "pinnacle of competition" within this game from a small minority of the community, but in the end its about getting RPs and having fun... whatever you do to accomplish that goal works just fine.

Right now the majority of the population are just in a situation where they need RPs, so red=dead for a while.

Just the other day Blood Feud ran around with 2-3fgs out in mid for 2-3 hours getting 20-30k (some got close to 40k I wasn't there for it all) RPs for almost everybody. It was a great afternoon of rolling over tryhard 8mans who would sometimes pickup another fg so they were 16 and it wouldn't matter.

Figure out the end goal for what you want and work towards it. Personally sitting in DL spamming LFG and grouping with 7 different people everyday sounds painful to me, I would rather join a guild with a flourishing alliance where you can be sure to find MOSTLY competent players.

Sorry to hear you had such an experience, and gl with whatever you do, but, i dont agree with what you have said on not getting groups. Yes i am in a guild, but most of the time i get groups with pugs on my chanter, though i do try and play mostly at prime time..
Yes its grindy, but it doesnt mean people dont rvr, almost every group has a chanter, especially now with 3 power relics, i dont see why they wouldnt.... Zerg, is always fun, 2-3 groups+...
Give it another go maybe, try play more around prime time when there are many people, join a guild, many around. On the subject of stealthers, i doubt you will have more fun than group rvr, as its pretty dead at the moment, and i end up sitting at portal keeps most of the time, just waiting for a random solo to come out...

anyways, gl.

Merixo man (for you that dont know its OP actually), if you want friendly advice, stop whining. As i'm familiar with your situation due to numerous whines that resulted in you being solo player and as it seems, quiting hib, or daoc altogether. We are forgers of our destiny at least in daoc, so get your act together and you will prosper.

Good luck to you.

Sounds like you need a guild plain and simple.

I couldn't fathom trying to play this game without a good guild/friends and just be a solo trying to pug everything I do.

There is generally only a single enchanter in a caster group for the most part.
and there are ****** TON of enchanters.

this could also be part of your problem.

I could have told you a decade ago that if you rolled a chanter to 50, this was the experience you would have had. Maybe try alb next and play a necro and see if its any better?

That chanter...even in a group with 4 chanters would be like having portable artillery pieces along for the ride - while 3 chanters and 1 eldy is better...it's still damned epic

Be good at the game and get to know the 8v8 community and you'll get into rvr grps no matter what. No one will ever grab an unknown or inexperienced enchanter because it's one of the key roles for every 2+ caster hibgrp

For what its worth, this same story is pretty much mine on Alb lately.

Past 4 nights, no invites to be found anywhere, and not enough online to make a decent group of my own.

:D

make friends, and join or make a guild and form bigger communities (if timezones r the problem)

with some effort you can easily roll 1-2 FGs or RvR / PvE fun.

problem ?

( easily done in Hib side ).

Yea, get to know these ppl so they can drop you without any word because they built their group poorly and then want to fill with their friends... or on off occasion that they actually send a tell before they disband you.

At this point, the "8v8 community" won't save you, far from it. You would have better luck just getting a guild that supports every play style. That doesn't mean you'll always get a group, no where near it, honestly making some what "close friends" will be the only way to constantly have a rvr group.

Can get in guild groups at times but not a guarantee unless you have friends that look for you as soon as they long on. Otherwise expecting to be looking to fill a spot in a "friends" group and hope they dont replace you with another friend when they log on.
