Hello everyone,

Me and a good RL friend of mine started on this server in Aug 2007. We started off creating our own private guild in search for one that already existed and could suit our needs in a guild. However we didn't really encounter a guild that we could dedicate ourselves to.
So after a few days of brainstorming we decided to create what we always saw as the ideal of how a guild should be. A good-looking, friendly, english speaking and skilled group of people, united by the same emblem and guild ideals.

This made us create the new guild called Vanquish.

The very same day the guild got created, we ran into another newly created guild called Ruination, which we found out was an almost identical project to ours.
So, we combined our forces under the name 'Vanquish' and decided to start recruitment to build up a steady playerbase and to help the new players to reach the higher levels asap. However, we plan on becoming a respected Hibernian force in the end-game frontiers and thus will try to end up with the most skilful, fun, friendly and dedicated players to achieve that goal. This means that for now we will invite most players rather randomly, but will later on decide who's to stay and who is not. We are also levelling our own crafters to make sure we can provide ourselves and our members once we (me and my friend already have a lvl 50) reach the final frontier.

The guild is currently running under a co-leadership management of the 2 GLs of the original Vanquish and Ruination guild. Me and my friend are European (Belgian) while the 2 former Ruination guild leaders are from North(East) America.

We are currently recruiting regardless of where you live or what language you speak, as long as you can communicate decently in English. Guild chat will be English and English only, we will not tolerate any other language. We will probably try to get a European aswell as a North American team running so we can play regardless timezones.
Also, we will probably use TS or Ventrilo once we get more RvR orientated, so it certainly is a good thing to have if you are interested in joining our ranks.

I guess that's somewhat what you need to know about us, if you have any questions you can always contact a Vanquish member and ask for on of the GLs, or directly contact them if you see one of us online. (Zrawkor/Ifrigg/Glasny(EU) - Drummer/Dyelle(EU) - Respite(NA) - Dispute(NA))

*Update!*
We managed to get about 6 active lvl 50s so far and a whole bunch lvl 40+ heading straight for Agramon. We're looking forward to composing our first guild group and been very busy farming money to get our templates done.
So far we managed to get all crafters legendary (grandmaster) but Spellcrafter (600+) and Fletcher. These will soon catch up tho and after that not much is going to stop us from endangering other realms in the big boy RvR.

Besides that I'd also like to add that we've put up our guild website (http://vanqquish.webs.com), forum and ventrilo.

Last but not least, despite our pretty large player base, we are still actively searching skilled and friendly druids who are looking for some serious business.
Should you be interested, please stop by our forum (via the website) and make an application. Other classes will be considered aswell, but druids will certainly have priority. :)

Sincerest regards,
Zrawkor, Vanquish GL.

Update: Recruitment Limited!
Exception: Druids.

Due to running into the right people we are VERY quickly gaining the right numbers and players.

95% of our current members, we know are a great addition to the guild and we decided to keep the guild running with a rather small, active, fun and skilled core.

Recruitment was so succesful the last two(!) days that we decided to limit recruitment from now on.

This means that we will recruit by invite only or on a trial base if you request to join. We will evaluate you during that time and let you know what our decision will be once we have seen enough.
Active recruitment in broad is over.

This does not mean recruitment applications (only in-game for now) are pointless! Feel free to take your shot by running a trial.

Thanks to all our new members for getting us to this stage so early!

sounds interesting.. but what does your guild have to offer that the other well known guilds dont? and what exactly do u mean by saying we will "evaluate" your worth? does that mean we're incapable of playing daoc? 0_o what is it that you are exactly looking for in a player?

Not flaming, but what is the main reason that would attract one to your guild? instead of going out and seeking to join an already stable well infrastructured guild?

Guilds are all active at the begining, because every1 is on a hype to do something.. but nowadays it's harldy that you find 1 fg of "guildies" at rvr or even pve for that matter..

Last question, what level's do you recruit from? 1-50? or is there a specification?

ty for your time.. :)

First of all I'm glad to see you're interested and I'll be happy to respond to your questions.

Supafly wrote:sounds interesting.. but what does your guild have to offer that the other well known guilds dont?

Good question, of course, if our guild wouldn't be different from the rest, there would be little reason to prefer joining ours. And, the very reason our guild actually exists is because it is striving after being different from the other Hibernian guilds in this aspect:
We plan on becoming (one of) the best English Hibernian RvR guilds. We run a no-nonsense policy where our players will have the possibility to always find players they can trust within the guild and on top of that, enjoy the company to enhance the in-guild atmosphere. In short, we plan on running guild groups (PvE aswell as RvR, however our goal is to focus on RvR only, so PvE will probably only be done if it's benefitting our RvR experience) with highly skilled English speaking players, on a competitive and serious level. (this doens't mean we don't plan on having fun doing so!)
We differ from other current established (I'm saying established because we dont know other new guilds yet) guilds because we will only tolerate English in guild chat aswell as in Ventrilo or TS while combining this with a more advanced RvR playstyle. We will also try to make sure our members will be able to rely fully on our guild's features such as crafters and item raids, so that we can plow trough the non-RvR part as fast and as effective as possible.

Supafly wrote:and what exactly do u mean by saying we will "evaluate" your worth?does that mean we're incapable of playing daoc? 0_o what is it that you are exactly looking for in a player?

Hehe, we're not saying anyone outside the guild would be incapable of playing DAoC at all, we just mean that we will certainly not invite people randomly and have them in our ranks without any form of evaluation.
We are looking for players who show motivation, effeciency, friendly interaction, respect and skill. Additional factors like humor or willing to help others will certainly be a plus, however we do not seek for players who are only that.
We are looking for players who know what they want and know how to get it best, while always being aware of their social environment.

Again, I'm happy to respond to these questions since they what any criticizing player would wonder.
I've already explaing a large part in above but will try to analyse it shortly again here.

We plan on becoming a very independant, active and solid guild, well capable of relying on itself in any aspect. All this in order to become one of the best RvR guilds on the server, while having fun doing so. We will not stress or oblige our members to do anything, but try to create a friendly and helpful atmosphere were people will give and recieve when the time is right.

Supafly wrote:Guilds are all active at the begining, because every1 is on a hype to do something.. but nowadays it's harldy that you find 1 fg of "guildies" at rvr or even pve for that matter..

We are focussing on advancing as effeciently as possible and will select our members to be capable of that. This way we will try to make it viable and useful to stick together as a guild in PvE aswell as in RvR. Again, our main goal is establishing a well balanced guild RvR group.

Supafly wrote:Last question, what level's do you recruit from? 1-50? or is there a specification?

For now, we are still recruiting at any level since most of us are still levelling ourselves. We plan on helping our lower level players too so that we can reach the end-game with as much members at the same time. This way we can combine the end-PvE (to complete templates) for everyone at once.
Level will not influence your chances on becoming a full member for now, other things, as explained above, will determine that.

Thank you for your questions aswell.

@Dispute: Didn't say 5% blows, but I'm saying that I haven't had the chance yet to see them play so I'm not sure yet what to think of them. :)

PS: We are still in need of druids.

Zarkor pretty much summed it up.

We are a guild of english speaking rvr oriented players that seek equally skilled and motivated players to join us in an environment that is both helpful and fun while being serious and competitive. We plan on running a solid group in rvr and running our own pve ( Dragon DF etc ).

We have most crafters to LGM and we are currently skilling the ones that we do not have.

We are seeking mainly druids however we will not turn down ANY competant player that seeks an english speaking guild.

We are not some random noobs that just started playing DAoC. If you are interested at all once again contact anyone in vanquish they will lead you to an officer.

I must say Zarkor, the way you responded to my post is very impressive, you got straight to the main points.. and i like that.. and in fact i'm glad to have an only english speaking guild that would be so helpful to level newbies too..

My main chars are on alb, and i started a hib not too long ago.. and it's really frustrating to find a group to level with nowadays.

Although i enjoy pve, it does get boring and therefore RvR is my main focus in every realm.. the adrenaline is just amazing ;) and i guess this guild would suit me!

Well, i'm active during the weekend and sometimes during the week (unless work gets the best of me :(.. and i must say that your enthusiasm and dedication is making me want to join this guild.

It shall be fun, hopefully i won't be 1 of those 5% "blows" ;)

-Greetz
