What specs are viable for BMs on Uthgard? I was leaning towards a 50shield 50 pierce, but I would appreciate any comments on what specs have worked for other people here. Thanks.

50 cd 39 blunt 42 shield
It is probably the only spec for bm on uth. Somehow 39blunt 50 cd reaches almost same dmg like 50blunt 50 cd. Dont ask me why^^

thats normal . as long as you use dw styles you are fine with 39+11 weapon. if you use normal weaponstyles your damage is gonna be slightly lower.

really no reason not to have this hybrid spec.

You reckon pierce BM is a total waste of experience points?

hi,

with piercing spec you make a lesser average-dmg than a blunt/bladespec, cause the slowest weapondelay for piercing is 3.9-guarded rapier (not sure if basaltweapons are slower like in alb).
in comparison to piercing you have with blunt/blade a 4.2 weapondelay in the mainhand -> so slower swingspeed -> so more dmg.
plz consider that blunt /blade depends only on strength.

the great advantage if you spec piercing is the higher dmg against tanks/supporter in chainarmour, and there are many of them.
furthermore depends piercing dmg on strenght/dexterity (50%).

i think the alternative with 50 cd 42 shield and 39 piercing is a great spec. you have slam, you have nearly capped dmg, and enough weaponskill (with 50 piercing the weaponskill would grow 100-150 points further), so i fully agree with salbei, there's no reason not spec hybrid.
