I was leveling as an armsman with quite the struggle in the level 6 bandit camp around prydwen. A scout came and would aggro bandit from his max distance, shoot the first arrow, then the second arrow, then he would turn around and walk away from the bandit for 5 seconds, the bandit loses aggro, and he would reiterate until he kills it (he was level 5 and not 6 like me)
Either the aggro mechanic of the bandit is wrong, if I am in melee and I run the bandit would stick to me for a lot longer.
Or there should be some exp loss due to the mob losing aggro.
1. Make a Archer class
2. Try to kill mobs using this tactic
3. Evaluate the fairness of this aggro mechanic
The mob should stick to the non-melee for longer or it should have a penalty to its exp reward if the player manage to reset the aggro table of the mob.
I do not have a specific evidence of this scenario.
