The hunter pet being mezzed results in the immediate unstealth of the hunter himself. Furthermore, the hunter cannot restealth for the whole duration of the pet mezz duration. The only way is to release the pet and wait the full combat timer (10 sec).
It seems the mezz on the pet puts both the pet and the owner in combat for the full duration of the cc.
1. Create a hunter, and spec enough points in beastcraft to get the first avatar pet
2. Invoque pet, get in stealth mode
3. When the pet is mezzed by an enemy of the realm, the pet's owner is unstealthed, and can only restealth after releasing the pet and waiting full timer combat.
The mezz on the pet should not break the hunter's stealth, and should not prevent the hunter to restealth if the hunter is not himself considered "in combat".
The pet in combat normally only prevents the hunter to restealth when the pet is dealing damage.
It's very difficult to find a patch note about this behavior, however : if mezzing a pet unstealths the owner (IF it was correct), then any mezz hitting a stealthed character should unstealth him. Furthermore, pet taking damage doesnt unstealth the pet owner, why would a mezz do it ?
