To autotrain a warrior on live you had to autotrain ALL lines. You couldnt level specced in sword and autotrain in hammer up to 48 and then single line respec out of sword and put those points in autotrained hammer (+12 hammer for 77 skill points). You had to train no weapon line in order to get the autotraining.

Warriors, by dint of autotraining ALL their weapon specs, get the shaft in the game, because if they want to do anything but sit in Modernagrav from level 1 to 48, any point they put in Sword, Axe or Hammer up to 12 is lost upon respec.

Let's say a warrior trains Sword and wants to autotrain Axe and Hammer while he levels up. He puts points in there, all fine and dandy, and gets the messages saying his other weapon skills are automatically given skillups every so often. However, once he reaches level 48 and decides to respec to get to use Axe or Hammer, which he has been 'saving up' for... he will discover that he can't respec Sword down to 1 -- the game automatically allocates a spec level of 12 there, thereby making all his efforts to get those extra points null and void.

So if you want to do anything but sit in Modernagrav and be PL'd, you have the choice of speccing in... um, Shield? Thrown? Yeah, that'll make an effective warrior.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the fence, an armsman can blithely spec in Crush - by all rights a more than solid specline - while levelling up, and autotrain Slash and Thrust to his heart's content, not losing any of the points he accumulated while levelling up normally.

So in effect... Midgard has one 'independent' autotraining class. The Shadowblade.

As far as I remember that wasnt always the situation on uthgard: simple respeccing was possible for getting those 77 extra points.

It may feel unfair to some, but consider Midgard/Warrior does not have to extra-train e.g. large weapons. Thus the only output would be 3 extra skill points in parry, since theres nothing more worth of training.

Hmm it doesn't work. A Warrior in my guild was axe and respecced sword at 48, but no points were given by the autotrain.

Actually, he has 50, 50 28, instead of 50, 50 31. I so i think that it doesn't work on uth :-\

It's like offi, then. To autotrain a Warrior you have to put the points in Throwing Weapons and Shield...

You'll need a pow-lvl, or a miracle to do that :D

You only get Autotrain here for as Warrior as long as don´t skill in weapons.
This system was also implement 4 Years ago.

One of the above posts stated that you could only spec in Shield and Throw weapons. I assume you can spec in Parry as well.

At the moment I am all shield and parry with a friend on mine playing a Zerker. So all I have to do is protect them, while they do the damage.

Jos.
