Auto-training mess up

So, I've been slowly lvling a ranger and was auto-training bow. I accidentaly trained a level in bow 1 night, and quickly sent an appeal to see if i could 'undo' that screwup without dropping 2 plat on a respec.
What I'm wondering is this: should i expect the staff to help me out? or should i just plan on starting a new ranger (as auto-training is important for my desired lvl 50 spec) Anyone else pull a retard-move like i did and get a response from the staff? |

We do not help you out in such situations. Thats a fact.
It might seem harsh and not very helpful but well, where do we draw the line? It's not that we do not want to help a single person, but when do we help and when don't we? So we decided to never undo speccing mistakes using staff powers. Please accept that. In the low levels you can always easily reroll a char, later you need to get some gold for a line respec (about 1p+, depends on realm and luck). Sorry about that, but mistakes are mistakes and we can't undo them all. Just be careful when you train. I hope you will understand that. You dont need to drop 2p for that.
Single line respec costs only 1p and thats more than enough for ATing a toon. If you want, you can xp further to get some levels untill the next at-gain-point. Also you wont loose all the AT-points if you specced into your at-line once. Youll only loose the amount of points youve spent for that single time training. |

Not that I'm thrilled w/ the responce, but I have to thank you for a quick one. At least i know I'm lookin down the barrel of a re-roll, as I wasn't about to delete if there was a chance staff would help. Simultaneously, while I'm not thrilled about the news, I can certainly appreciate the reasoning behind it. Considering you folks dont exactly get paid, and have managed to provide us with a most-of-the-time-awesome game experience, I think its only fair that you (the staff) get to make the rules. moreover, if you actually repaired mistakes like that, many many hours would have to be invested, and there is always the chance of people taking advantage of the process. Thus, as previously stated, I'm not thrilled for me, but I understand why and thank you for responding so quickly. |
